Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Battery wouldn't charge. It's a 2012 with a 5yr warranty tho, so going get my free battery from autozone lol

I found a local place that sells interstates at near retail, so I'm pretty much changing all the batteries in our cars.

Might get a black top for my car even lol

No

Should give that a whirl first, it's hard to charge a cold battery.

It was bouncing off the voltage limiter or whatever. AGM batteries don't like to be charged

+ it's only 30 outside it should work fine

He did do a load test on the old one though beforehand and it failed that so rip

Wow... I wonder what oil looks/flows like at -25

you should pull the dipstick at that temp haha... I don't think I would even bother starting a car at that temp without a block heater

Red top. Yellow top hold more electricity, red top has more cca. Id get red top unless youre gonna be playing the radio or having the lights on for extended periods of time.

For the s10 it was 620 cca at 78 amp hour, or 720 cca at 74 amp hour.

like playing the radio when the car is off? because i'll have the radio on every time i go out driving. but which will have a longer life? red or yellow? and what's the better option for a daily driver? more electricity or better cca?

Yellow will have longer run time without the engine on

i think it would be a toss up between what would last longer before replacement

i would say the red top. Because if its fucking cold outside those extra ~100 CCA will help crank over long enough to get it started more than 4 more amp hours would i would think.

ok, i'll get the red top then, since it does get quite cold here (colder than you might think in central california), plus, it's cheaper than the yellow top.
