How often do you dust your PC?

Will E Wonka

At least once a year. Probably should do it a little more.

I posted in that other thread I clean my parents computer once every 2-3 years. I plan on making it at least a yearly deal since I found a tonne of dust.

Took one of mine apart last week and found enough cat hair to make a new cat.

I have a ridiculously dusty house, even if we dust like once a week, don't dust for a few days and my monitor stands, behind my monitors+ etc is all covered again.. I don't have to dust the insideof my case very often, but the dust filters quite often, usually every 2 weeks (they're dirty as heck if I dont clean em for a month)

I give my desktop a quick once over with a can of compressed air once a month, and a proper cleaning every 3 or 4.

My laptop usually goes until it starts overheating when playing games.

I can be a cynical a**hole at times. I apologize if I cause any offence at those time. I also occasionally have issues communicating my point. Extreme introversion + Photographic memory + Some other things.

I have filters that I clean every week or two.  The inside of the case has a marginal amount of dust buildup over the course of maybe 3 months.  After about that time it may be worth it to open it up for the sole purpose of dusting it.

I don't have a set time when I clean out the PC but it is roughly every two months or so but since it is winter here in the UK I might leave it longer, the tempertures are good so I'm not concerned.

Today I've been folding and the CPU hasn't gone above 45 degrees (light setting - 50% load) and the GPU hasn't gone above 47 degrees under load.

Only when it's really bad.

Believe me I know about dust. The house I'm living in is like 80+ years old so it is quite dusty here.

SO I recently invested in one of these.. So much better than the compressed air cans.
