Household wireless internet goes down or very slow when I am gaming on my pc.

When I play certain games on my pc my household internet seems to go down for everyone else connecting wirelessly but it remains perfect for me on my pc (connected via LAN cable). Does anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it?

Also what kind of wifi adapter is this? I know for many years I added fans to my routers and cable modems as they would overheat and slow down during extended downloads. I still add heat sinks to some of my network adapters that don't have them. When buying a wifi adapter for my PC I look for the nicer ones with the heatsinks.
