for a while in 2015 and 2016 I was recommending fine PSUs for the time but now looking back on some of the nicer ones I should have grabbed T1 over T3.

So, a few minutes ago, I was looking back through my posts for something only posted a few days ago. While looking through, I couldn't help myself and I had to go and check my very first post on these forums. I honestly couldnt believe how much my knowledge of PC components has expanded (Shoutout to all the LTT Forum Members for their help and education  ).  I was honestly quite shocked at how much I have learned in a few months. I cant believe only 1-2 months ago, building a PC was one of the most nerve-wracking things I was going to this year and now its no big deal.

 

Has anyone else ever looked back and had the same feelings/ experience as I have?

Thousands of posts later not a lot has changed. I have a bunch of followers not I guess, and I still help people. But usually when I have a problem and I go to the forums to as for help nobody can answer it lol. 

Thats a pretty cool story. When I signed up to the forums, I didnt even know what a GPU was, now I can comfortably advise my friends on their builds. 

 

The forums has sort of turned into a hobby for me. I spend an hour or two a day, just reading through different posts, learning new things everyday.

For me, its probably maturity. I personally think that since I've joined, my posts slowly became more mature and less childish which is nice to see I guess.

Over time I became more of a heavy hitter, less biased in how I view products and overall a more conservative person.

Im the same. Originally, I never even considered AMD for anything, now I am open to Ryzen builds and Intel Builds.

I was (and in a sense, still am) more of an AMD type of guy but nowadays I don't give a shit as to what someone's running or the brand something is.

Well i am new in here and i hope i can be here long enough to experience what u had.

I like this forum rarely met toxic people although sometimes a savy tech with high post count will look down on new member and instead of guiding them they will ignore them.

 

And i dont like the reputation system in here.

Because rep can be farmed in the off topic subforum and a lot of member judge user knowledge from their reputation (mostly)

I often met member with low rep that is more informed than a member that has high reputation.

I mean i can gain 100 rep for being funny and the rep system will still count me as helpful if i reach 100. *facepalm

I havent really had any problems with the rep system. I like to think that a more experienced, veteran member of the forums wouldnt be so tunnel visioned in their own glory of reputation to ignore newer members. But I see where your coming from.
