Herman Miller Aeron

If you really care about the state of your back and overall heath while working/gaming/whatever at a desk all day, that's what you will get. Not some "hey guys look at me, I'm a gamer" nonsense. I don't understand why all these manufacturers think we want that kind of ostentatious nonsense in our homes.

If the Aeron's MSRP scares you, scour Craigslist/Kijiji/eBay. Companies often let them loose for amazing prices, but even at MSRP it is worth every last cent. Look at actual office chairs for your gaming needs, those will actually do you good in the long run.

And if you ABSOLUTELY NEED a racer look, find an actual racing chair off aforementioned sites or from older sports cars. I know someone who took seats out of a 996 Porsche 911 Turbo and made a pair of office chairs out of them, with all powered seat functions intact. Those seats were designed with day long driving trips in mind, letting you get out of the car once you reached your destination without having a back that was ruined. If you absolutely need to have a 'racer' or 'sports car' look to your seat.

I have a gaming chair (akracing) and it is the most confortable chair i have ever tried. It is not really ortopedic, but still is the best i have ever seen in this category also.

Ofc there are better chairs, ortopedical chairs, chair that scream "OMG ARE YOU AN CEO??", etc...

But saying that these gaming chairs are BAD is stupid or at least ignorant. Or maybe (I guess this is the most probable) hating this kind of product is trending.

Ultra is stupid. ALWAYS.

Bingo.  The Aerons are the standard all other office chairs are rated against.  And if you want a head rest (highly suggested), after market companies make them that easily attach to the seat back.

I sit in an Aeron all day at work, and again at home.  Take care of your back.  Elsewise you're going to be a sorry SOB later in lift.  Trust me ... (44 and counting).

People need to realize that just because you slap "gaming" on a product doesn't mean its the best while gaming.

Headphones. Get a pair of audiophile grade headphones, not shitty gaming headphones with LEDs.

Chairs. Get an ergonomic chair meant for giving your body support for hours, not flashy poor material chairs that look better on your instagram rather than giving your spine support.

Every single racing style gaming chair is trash.

Not a single one is designed for ergonomics or durability over time.  You are wasting your money if you buy one.

If you want a real chair that will be worth the money and actually make sitting enjoyable and HEALTHIER for your back and posture look into Brands like Herman MIller or Steelseries,  There are many great chairs available that were designed by actual designers and medical researchers to benefit those who sit for multiple hours a day and work with your body to provide the best support and comfort.

It's worth it to invest in one good chair that will last a decade or longer than go through several of these terrible designs, never truly getting a great experience.

People will spend thousands on a PC over several years, but spending a little more into a chair that not only contributes to body and joint pain potentially, as well as it being the primary peripheral that will outlast your PC, and that you use the most, is ridiculous? -_-

Afford? It's still $350

Fuck that. I bought a premium office chair that feels like the devil himself (god isn't real people) is cradling you from behind... and all that with aluminium base and trim... for $139 and it's way more comfortable than my DXRacer.
