Nitro is the one with the custom PCB, Tri-X cooler, and a factory overclock. The regular Tri-X just has the reference PCB.

With the Tri-X, the shaders are not lasered off like the Nitro, which means that you can unlock them to Fury X's with a BIOS Mod.

Did not know that honestly.

 

I vaguely remember someone unlocking a Nitro and running LN2 on it I think. Could be wrong though.

arnvar is drooling on himself, none of them are "lasered" off.

 

My friends Nitro unlocked completely and runs happily on water.

1100Mhz Core , 1800Mhz Memory , +62mV on the core , +50% power limit . During the valley run , max temp on the core was 72.C , max VRM was 80 and 76 while max power draw was 265W . ( taken from Sapphire TriXXX ) .

 

Still , i have no explanation for the score ...

Core clock is up their with the other 390s on the sheet so it looks ok. 

 

Close everything in the background max out fans and re run. You want to keep the core cool :)

Sadly this is the best score i have managed . Even 1101Mhz makes the core unstable even if i add +100mV and fans blowing 100% .

You did OC memory kinda much.

Try to decrease memory OC and see if that will let you OC core power more :)

 

I had R9 390 also ... those cards just don't overclock well.

The memory OCs like a champ . 1800 is 300Mhz over stock , while it has no influence on the core OC . Even going down on the memory to like 1400ish doesnt help the core go any higher than 1100 . I tried 1125 and it requires +100mV at minimum and even then it cant make thru the run without artifacts ..

now if you go into amd ccc and turn off all the things you will get 2800+ easy.
