Unigine Valley Benchmark Scores Thread + SUPERPOSITION ***Over 1000 Submissions!***

Jumper118

This time with power limit at 150%, fan maxed out, this is a reference 670 so it is throttling due to temps.

Spreadsheet updated.

@henkka_scorpio, @Dwood180, @Crossbone_19, and @Tom Hanks: you need to include a screenshot of GPUZ with your submissions to be added to the scoreboard.

@Crossbone_19: could you re-run at the ExtremeHD preset so I can put you on the board?

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. So I overclocked my i7 4790k to 4.5 GHZ and ran the benchmark again. These where my results:

i7 4790K

Asus Strix GTX1080 O8GB

Average FPS 108.3

Score 4532

Once a tweak the settings as per the forum above the score should improve. Still figuring it out

You're going to want to get that clock speed as high as you can for this bench.  Valley at 1080p loves fast CPUs.

Thank you for the advice I am definately going to squeze as much speed out of the processor as I can

Well, my score are not the highest, but here it goes

Valley - GTX 1070.jpg

Specs:

i7 5820k @4.4Ghz 1.265V

MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X

Average FPS: 98.4

Score: 4117

Unfortunately, I can`t push pass +100Mhz on the core, it always crash when I run the benchmark...

Couple if things.

Add some voltage to that 1070 and see if OC improves and boost holds.

Raise your CPU clock while running the benchmark.  It doesn't have to be daily use stable so no need to spend too much time setting it up.  It's just to get some higher scores.

Have you already tweaked your driver settings?

Yes, I apply the tweaks of the first post.

Hm... I will try to increase the OC and see what happens

I run at a setting of 3440 x 1440 so I tried it with that and 2560 x 1440.

I have a new MSI 1070 Seahawk and it is set for 2.06 Ghz Core and 4.90-4.95 Ghz Memory.  It has been rock solid on my Acer Predator x34 with a max 100Hz setting.

Overall I think it is respectable.  Without the AA set at x8 I was over 100FPS.  So far all my games are running butter smooth 99-100FPS :)

Couldn't be happier and the temps have never gotten higher than 55C even with no fans on this. :)

I did this a little different, I ran this once one my dGPU and again on my eGPU. Also in the last one its nice to see the Titan Black is only lagging about 10FPS behind a new overclocked 1070 like the post above mine :)

In Valley though no such luck i went from 81 to 83fps.....Valley doesn't seem to like AMD...awww....

I'll try and post some screens, i have dual bios so i can do before and after.

Try running it again with your CPU at 4.8 or 4.9.

yea , it just doesnt scale at all. the score went up bya whole 3fps if that. i doubvt having missmatched cards will make any diff cuz other benches seem to scale well (time spy firestrike ext)

Maxwell scales really good in Valley or least it did for my 980 Tis.  I'm having issues getting my 1080s to match my 980 Tis in Valley, but I'm not sure if it's a scaling or CPU.  Still working on it.

that makes me wonder , i have a 5820k build i haven't tried to run with my sli 980ti's , i only tried with my older 4790k build

i might have to try that pc instead

Stick with whatever CPU you can get a higher clock speed out of.  Cores don't matter.  Clock speed is king with Valley.

If you got a good 5820k, you can get upwards of 4.8 to 4.9 out of it for these benchmark runs.  I know several of us on LTT are hitting 4.9 and slightly higher out of Haswell-E for benchmark only use.

If you determine that your 5820k can do those kind of speeds, it would be the better all around chip to use with the 5820k for benchmarking.
