I know my way around most stuff, but mainly software (especially digital art software and stuff like Discord) and programming are my 'expertise'.

well, i'll just say i'm that guy that's not scared to take a soldering iron to a motherboard if shit's broken.

 

my server's storage drives are actually running off of sata power leads i've bodged into the OEM proprietary piece of crap mobo.

 

repairing cat5e cables with a swiss army knife is also on my CV.

Hardware is LIFE, mainly used stuff cuz thats all i can ever afford and the reson i am basically broke 24/7 365 lol i also do some webdev stuff with HTML and general networking, but mainly hardware and with that comes trubbleshooting which i do quite a lot of because everything i buy is shit and i need to figure out why its shit :P 

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

it's the s/ftp cable between the garage and my bedroom desk, the guy that put it in in the first place didnt squeeze in the connectors hard enough, so one of the wires slid out of place. due to lack of tools (or rather, "my dad taking them home from work tomorrow" for two weeks) i just took a knife to it and spliced it back in place, it ran like that for a few months until my dad finally "brought home the tools from work tomorrow".

 

which made me understand why it was never done properly in the first place, i bent the pliers on getting the plug spliced properly, s/ftp is insane xD

Nah, he means GPU cause what you're doing is excluding soldered GPUs in laptops :/ (close enough anyway)

I have seem system that are like this and 30 years old and you go how does this keep working.

we have a pond in the back yard, the pump for the filter is currently running with a hot glued impeller, because my dad is too lazy to drive by the store that sells pumps on his way from work.

 

although, temporary fixing impellers wasnt part of the poll for some reason :D

The problem i see is that i have so much expertise and can easily learn new things as well, such as electronics, cooking (yes i make really nice stuff) and various other things.

Considering I have a certification, am currently in school for all this, and have a job in IT... Yeah, I'm pretty decent at a lot of this.  A jack of (some) trades, a master of none.

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

It doesn't matter what you play games on, just play good games you enjoy.
