24-core CPU, 18GB RAM, 60MP camera IN A SMARTPHONE

Holy crap, guys - have you seen this new smartphone from Turing? 

The guys at TweakTown have an article saying that it has some pretty crazyyyy specs like 3 x CPU, 18GB RAM, 60MP camera, and more?!

I want to buy the new iPhone 7 tomorrow, should I wait?! HAHAHA

Looks interesting, not sure I'd need that much RAM on a phone though. 4-6GB is fine enough for most day-to-day uses. With that many CPUs the phone would probably cook in your hand too

Hopefully it comes with a replaceable car battery and some freebies like portable car battery and multi-meter stylus.

99% not going to happen. 4 nano sims? 3 CPUs? LPDDR4X???!! How would you even fit that in a phone, let alone cool it?

 

EDIT: Don't forget the 3600mAh Graphene supercapacitor battery, 2400mAh Li-Ion AND the hydrogen fuel cell! (that has JUST started coming in cars, so seing in a pocket-sized device is highly unlikely.)

That's completely %100 fake. Not mentioning the redundant storage sizes, the "augmented reality", and the fact that you can't put 3 cores in a phone simply due to the power consumption and inter-communications between the chips (t would be a single chip with more cores), the picture is fake.

This looks like a toddler's Christmas list packed into a phone. 3 CPUs in a phone makes no sense  I can't even find a reason to use more than 3GB of RAM on a phone although I've never been the sort of user to keep every app on my phone open at all times.

There's no way this is real, but if it is plug it into a wall and using it a a mobile server (lol, I'm just kidding guys).

 

Seriously though, the only reason for that much computing power is if you were recording in 4k, video editing on the go, and posting from one device (wouldn't that be sweet, but a lack of keyboard shortcuts would kill it).

 

Why on God's green Earth would you put a hydrogen fuel cell in that phone?!?! Hydrogen fuel cells would be nice you didn't have the issue of actually putting energy into making the fuel by separating the hydrogen and oxygen. The fuel cell itself will be nice as it improves, but the fuel for the cell makes no sense unless it is made with energy derived from another green source... at this point just throw the energy that was originally made in the first place into a battery, it cuts out energy lost through electrolysis!

 

How will the device cool itself? It sounds like a bigger fire hazard than a Galaxy note 7.

Aaaaand it's not running android. Even if this phone did actually happen, it will be way too expensive and has more power than anyone would realistically need in a phone. Unless they can optimize sailfish so it will take advantage of 3 cpus and 18gb of ram, all that power will go to waste. I think this will be a flop.

This is 100% bullpoop. This will not exist. Did you see their planned CPU topology? Connected with 1 Gbps WiGig. Haha, what is wrong with these guys. For reference the interconnects on most SoCs are between 30 and 50 Gbps.

Yea thats fake. Hydrogen fuel cell battery? 768GB (completely random number). 18GB ram. None of their numbers make any sense.

Fake or not (I reckon it is) I could see this being a thing in the future, how far off I don't know. Just thinking about why you would want that much muscle in a phone.

 

From a creative stand point, with more and more social media apps encouraging posting images, videos and doing live streams I could see the average person wanting a simple all in one solution for to do this at 4K. Gotta keep that selfie game on point. 

 

Also this would be great for portable editing if it can be connected to a monitor and wireless keyboard and mouse instead of lugging workstation pc's (or their laptop equivalents) which becomes a logistical nightmare. Just bring a keyboard, mouse and monitor (nothing insane, like 12" with Adobe RGB colour like the Blade Stealth screen) to connect to the phone and fit the whole rig into a backpack. This would be great for companies like LMG where they go to cons and want to put out videos from the show floor ASAP. Your whole set up is ready to go super quick (you could edit footage on the show floor if you really wanted, I don't know why but it's possible) and no need to pay for heavy luggage costs. The only bottle neck would be dumping footage onto it from a camera. 

 

Exporting video might be a pain though. I mean could it handle rendering 4K footage and Clash of Clans at the same time?

1 hour battery? That's if the hydrogen cell doesn't explode in your pocket first. Oh, also, I heard the phone requires you to hand-crank start the hydrogen cell every time you want to power on the display.
