i need to get some dry ice or ln2. its much quieter. i have managed to cut the noise down a fair bit from the video the other day by putting a strip of foam around the side panels

Alright so as Much as I hate to say it, I might actually get the RVE, I wanted a XPower for X99 but MSI doesn't seem to be doing the OC Socket, and no word if As Rock officially added it yet on their OC Formula. And I want to have the 8 dimm slots because I plan on doing that dank 128GB DDR4 kit eventually.

 

There is going to be a new version of OC Formula releasing at Computex with USB3.1 & OC Socket. I believe they are calling it the XSocket or something.

DDR2 only. And BOards that support 16GB DDR2 and only 8GB DDR3 are going by what was at the time the maximum single stick size.

It could but you'd want a high end DDR3 board like the P5Q(3) Deluxe Wifi-AP @n to get benefit, as most of the time you'll just be northbridge limited on quad core chips with decent DDR2.

only if its faster. you won't be able to run ddr3 very fast so even if you have ddr3 you will still need a kit that can do cl6 at 1333mhz.

I have no idea if this will even work, and there's still a lot of soldering to do, but expect 4.6GHZ+ benchmarks if I can find some nicer voltages

replaced cap and waited 8 hours and voila! its alive again...thank you alah and gaia

that is impressive the fan is twice as thick as the heatsink. lol. it reminds me of the time ttl put 40 fans on a corsair h100

@Jumper118 @harrynowl so should I just get that p5q I linked and get some DDR2 and start buying random old CPU's?

 

 

IDK if I will get it or not, I want to save up and buy a 980 TI Classified if EVGA releases one, which I'm pretty dam sure they will.
