I do XTU 15 hours+ to show that its 100% stable no matter the length its stressed for.

Hmnn. Pretty good chip you have there.

Although FYI, XTU stress test isn't that hard. Even the XTU benchmark is harder to run than XTU stress test.

I do XTU 15 hours+ to show that its 100% stable no matter the length its stressed for.

I didn't feel like rocking 5ghz at an average of 78c for too long. Also my h100i fans started going all whack. Took them off and look like some of the bearing grease was leaking.

I didn't feel like rocking 5ghz at an average of 78c for too long. Also my h100i fans started going all whack. Took them off and look like some of the bearing grease was leaking.

Same happened with my 240l 1 of the fans was leaking grease so I'm getting a replacement which means Push/pull time for it. But also thats nothing I was stressing 4.4 at 1.48v for like 20 hours was averaging around 85-90C then I started dropping voltage to see where that was stable 1.42 is the limit for 4.4 for lowest stable voltage with Aida 64/OCCT

If it doesn't thermal throttle it will be fine, its when you start pushing stupid voltage for suicide runs for benching like I do.

An H100i is not enough, I agree. My 4790K that did 5G XTU bench @ 1.31V in winter can't even do 4.9 right now. Even XTU bench at 4.8G with 1.26V goes to 90C with fans at 100%. Cache was at 4.6G.

An H100i is not enough, I agree. My 4790K that did 5G XTU bench @ 1.31V in winter can't even do 4.9 right now. Even XTU bench at 4.8G with 1.26V goes to 90C with fans at 100%. Cache was at 4.6G.

Cache was at stock 4ghz. Not really sure how much to mess with that. I can run stable 4.8ghz @ 1.225v. I'll run some stress tests tonight and let you know because I went to a Noctua d15.

Cache was at stock 4ghz. Not really sure how much to mess with that. I can run stable 4.8ghz @ 1.225v. I'll run some stress tests tonight and let you know because I went to a Noctua d15.

Cache is pretty easy to do, I can run mine at 4.5 at 1.3v but I want everything undervolted now and oc'd as much as it can take undervolted

I've gone up to 1.43 something to get 5.2ghz on air. Temps weren't hot at all, but anywho. That's how I got the 2nd fastest single core score. @ProKoN Doesn't count since he/you used Dice...

 

Edit: Well, I do have the Intel OC warranty
