New Battlefield is named Battlefield 1 and is Set in World War 1, Releases Oct. 18

Well it will be interesting to see how they'll make WW1 setting. While I like modern settings people complain to much, specially about Infinite Warfare this time. Or probably just haters. Now, I to would like to see something like WaW 2 of some sort. But for Infinite Warfare a it's at least more different approach and gameplay in space, ships, low gravity, mech and all. Also MW remake which is awesome.

Well, we'll see how BF will stack with new installment.

That's cool that they're doing one of the World Wars, I think that making a shooter game based off a real war or taking place during a real war is better than some of what we've had from this genre the past few years. Though I'll give Activision - Treyarch this, Black Ops 3 wasn't too bad. The day or two I rented it, I enjoyed it and I would buy it for either PS4 or PC. I did wish that there were more Zombies maps in BO3 though.

If this is like the other battlefields (i.e. COD with tanks), it is going to be an immersion breaker from the first minute. WW1 was soldiers hunkering down in trenches for 90% of the time and then dying in front of machine guns 5% and then battlefield disease the other 5%. I don't want to do that in a video game. Leave the Great War be. There are hundreds of other mechanized conflicts they can turn into an unrealistic twitch shooter.

its shit anyway, you get 4-6 maps and limited weapons for 60$, preorder and get 2-3 more maps and weapon boxes, pay 60$ more for premium that you already payed for with the first 60$, then its plagued with bugs and shit network code for 1 year or more, worse to come the game is made for xbox one since microsoft had something to say about it,it seems so well get a buggy/laggy/ugly console port with 32 players max cause thats what console can do max...

Lot's of games have had limited time fra exclusivity on XBone. Microsoft must be desperate with how badly the console is doing. For all of us, it's just annoying to have to wait like we did with Tomb Raider. XBone, sports, sports, sports is pretty much dead at this point.

Not just "play the game first on Xb1". They also included "with EA Access" or whatever it's called. So you have to have an Xbox, have Xbox Live, and be subscribed to EA's subscription thing to play the game first. Bullshit like that pisses me off. I don't want to pay two separate subscriptions to play a game. I want to buy the game and then play it.

There isn't much to draw from a world war that is 90% stalemate, very little movement. I don't know how much more they can differ further with an alternate history. Do you have any good ideas, Mr. Creative?

It was kinda expected though. EA is going to find any way to make more money. They could honestly care less.

Tsk tsk, so I suspect that it might play worse on PS4 because Microsoft some how had a hand in this game.

Loved BF1942 (plus expansions), loved BF2, BF3 was meh and kind of like COD, BF4 was EA version of COD, I hope they stop going full Activision.

Wanting a WW1 themed BF for ages. Now I'm wishing they didn't bother. Trailer didn't fill me with any excitement, just boredom. 

But hey, if BFH is anything to go by, it'll suck.
