I was hoping for an 8GB X80 and a 6GB X70

it does not work that way...cards with a 384 bit memory bus (or 192) can only come with 3gb, 6gb, 12gb etc...and 256bit (or 512) bus cards come in at 2gb, 4gb, 8gb etc. so if it's based on the same GPU as the X80 it will be a 384bit bus so it would have to be either 3GB(highly doubt it...) or 6GB just like the X80.

Am I seeing that right, or are they saying that the x80 Ti has a greater bus width than 384-bit? No way. Everyone knows Nvidia is allergic to 512-bit buses.

 

Also, the Titan and X80 Ti have different RAM types, despite being based on GP100. According to this guy, that's impossible for the same GPU core to have two different RAM types. As usual with any rumor, take this with a grain of salt.

That's the thing, I just don't see the X70 being a cut down Pascal, Its very possible I could be wrong but my money is on the X70 being some kind of watered down 980 Ti using the GM 200 maxwell core.

Probably. Nvidia is lagging behind AMD and not in a good way like we've seen in the past where Nvidia was able to one up AMD in a month or two after AMD released a new card.

 

As a long time Nvidia user I'm kinda hoping for a big upset. The market needs it and more importantly Nvidia needs it.

X80 > Titan X and 50w less power consumption compared to previous gen.

 

Im loving what I see on the graph. 

Fingers crossed the numbers will match with actual Nvidia numbers when they reveal them. 

 

This kinda makes me want to buy X80 instead of X70.

Shame we have to wait for GDDR5 till next year or whenever they start producing gpus with them

I am pretty sure the X is just a placeholder, because we don't know if it will be called 1080, or some completely different numbering scheme.

That's a possibility, but X is also the roman numeral for 10 so X80 = 1080.
