AMD have begun shipping Polaris GPUs - 2 different Polaris chips and 4 different GPUs found

 

AMD have begun shipping Polaris GPUs from the foundries. Based on the information from Zauba, it seems to be two different Polaris chips/families, each with 2 different SKUs/GPUs. Total of 4 new Polaris GPUs. The one with the biggest value is the full Polaris while the other one is the same Polaris GPU but with some shaders/cores disabled.

 

Polaris chip #1:
GPU #1: Board number: C981

This one is the full chip

GPU #2: Board number: C980.
Based on the value and the board number I would guess that this one is the same as above but have some shaders/cores disabled. Like Fury X and Fury.

This doesnt tell me a whole lot. But at least it shows that amd is trying.

They have always tried with their gpus and right now IMO they are doing a better job than Nvidia are.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

Now lets hope Polaris whoops nvidias Ass lol, As you can tell I don't like NVIDIA. I don't like them as a company though products are good.

At least? AMD is beating or on par with every NVIDIA GPU at 1080p, 1440p AMD pulls slightly ahead in nearly every price bracket and at 4k NVIDIA has no room. Fury X beats the 980ti fairly easily at 4k

If AMD is shipping GPUs now, then they are on target for a release at the end of Q2/beginning of Q3. Which makes me happy.

At 4k resolution and recent drivers, it's true. It's even on par with a stock 980ti at 1080p

Bullshit. Quit lying. Otherwise provide proof. At 4K the Fury X matches a thermal throttling 980 Ti. Aftermarket Ti's blast past a Fury X at 4K.

And at 1080p? You could downclock a Ti and still beat a Fury X. lmao

I think the 400 series will be good and will look something like this

ALL 14nm, the 490x and 480x will have gcn, and the other gddr5

490x - greenland gcn 4

480x - fiji refresh gcn 3

470x - new gpu gcn 4

460x - new gpu gcn 4
