Half Life 3 - Confirmed?

In a DOTA 2 update on the 09th of October 2015, the update included a hl3.txt. Coincidence? Maybe!

 

The file is located in Dota 2\Game\Core\tools\help\fgd.

Here you can see, the file includes the string: VR Movement.

I am pretty stoked on HL3.

Jokes on you, valve has been working on half life 3, and even admitted to it many, many, many times over. 

 

Heres the catch though, at valve employees in game development are free to pickup or start projects when ever they feel, meaning the team working on HL3 has made almost no progress since 2010. Enjoy that little bit there.

OP; what we know for sure from previous data like this associated with Source2 is that Valve does have some build of Half Life 3 internally.

But that alone doesn't mean much because we have no idea how far along it is and how many people are working on it, or if they think it's good enough to release.

I really just want another game from Valve... HL3 or Portal 3 (big fan of Portal, as I'm sure you can tell) would be great, as long as they don't completely ruin the original franchise.
