Is the use of Profanities completely prohibited or is it only in the context of being vulgar, aggressive etc

"You may not post content that contains material relating to the following: racismhatredviolent languagethreatsreal-life threatsinsultsextreme vulgar languageflaming, otherwise inappropriate or hurtful language, or harassment."

So if it's not extreme, hurtful, or flaming I wouldn't worry.

The words themselves should not be held accountable; it’s all about the context.

Crusty pages.

/thread.

My brother was house sitting for someone and I went over one night, we were playing pool and I saw she had all 3 books on the shelf so I thought it would be a laugh to read it out loud, a couple crusty bits on the edges of the pages.

I like what best selling novelist John Green says about this book. "If you like 50 Shades of Grey then you can find a lot of that stuff for free on the internet."

The only reason it's popular is it's erotic effects on women. I have read a little bit of it and it wasn't my cup of tea. But in my experience, erotic novels trump porn in the hotness factor. Apparently the author is supposed to be writing another series of books from His perspective rather than Hers.

I can't see the appeal in those books at all. I can see that they speak to a erotic and "naughty" (I can already hear Chris Hansen) side of our psyche. They speak about a taboo side of the human sexuality, that we may want to live out in real life, but feel to restricted to actually live out. And the books let us live it out, atleat in our own mind.

All that said, I recommend picking up a real book about BDSM and reading that. Fifty Shades of Grey is filled with broad generalisations avout people in the BDSM enviroment and potrays them as "damaged" individuals. On top of that the books a poorly written and its roots as a Twilight fanfiction is obvious.  Even "A house Elf's needs" (Don't google it!) is better written than Fity Shades of Grey.

lol... I was not expecting this topic. Still, I don't think it's worth anyone's time, at least no more than twilight is. Actually, probably less.

If you want an erotic novel there are better ones, there are even pretty good softcore comics out there, and definitely better videos if you can resist the urge to just skip forward.

Still, the bottom line is it's an incredibly bland erotic book. It's unrealistic at best and follows pretty much the same mentality as twilight.

50 shades of grey is an erotic novel/porn and contains things like BDSM (which stands for Bondage & discipline Domination & Submission/Sadism & Masochism... Basically leather, whips).
It is the fastest selling paperback book of all time. 50 shades of gray started out as an erotic Twillight fanfic written by "Snowqueen Icedragon". Basically, some horny woman wrote a story about the characters from Twillight having kinky sex, released it and then loads of horny women bought and read it. Random extract from the book (does contain some lewd things), for anyone who is thinking of reading it:

"Here, put this on." He hands me a foil packet.
Holy crap, how? I rip the packet open, and the rubbery condom is all tacky in my fingers.
"Pinch the top and then roll it down. You don't want any air in the end of that sucker," he pants.

And very slowly, concentrating hard, I do as I'm told.

"Christ, you're killing me here, Anastasia," he groans.

I admire my handiwork and him. He really is a fine specimen of a man. Looking at him is very, very arousing.

For anyone wondering, I got the extract from Google books (just opened a random page a few times until I got one that didn't contain anything too indecent). I haven't actually read the book.

Don't buy it. Don't read it. If you want some porn then just watch porn.

I prefer panda image of mystery for my erotic fanfic needs.

Wow, that was terrible. Painfull actually. I read (more like I was told) about it but I never read it, and truth be told I had no idea it would be this bad

Either way, this only means two things: Getting rich is easy and I'm going to start writting kinky books as well.
