Posted August 18, 2015 My build is only 1 year old. My board is an ASUS Z-87 Pro with a LGA1150 socket. I have a i7-4790K processor in there and I have the board maxed out at 32GB of RAM. Since Skylake has all this DDR4 stuff and the CPU socket has only 1 extra pin, I'm going to put the i7 skylake in there. It should be fine. 1 extra pin doesn't make a difference I don't think. I'm doing this because I don't want to go out and buy new DDR4. Posted August 18, 2015 Snif Snif I smell a troll. that or the smell of a burnt cpu or motherboard this is equivalent to to placing stars on a flag say the United states flag has 50 stars and you add one more do you think there going to just slap the star on there with out completely rearranging how they line up.
