NVIDIA GTX 950 Listed & Pictured [Updated - Gigabyte & Zotac Pictures]

HKZeroFive

First up are the first traces of ASUS STRIX GTX 950, which I suppose will look just like STRIX GTX 960 (picture here). Card is now confirmed to feature 2GB GDDR5 memory and DirectCUII cooling solution. The OC label also suggest we are looking at factory-overclocked solution.

The price varies between €240-280 depending where you look. These prices have definitely placeholders, as you can buy GTX 960 for less in the same stores. The final price should end up between €140-200.

Here is the first picture of GeForce GTX 950 from PNY. Card features new single-fan cooling solution similar to Palit’s JetStream (it even has the same type of fan). The packaging is quite possibly the least informative part of this leak, we only learn it’s ‘high resolution graphics card’ and PNY is giving 3 years of warranty.

GeForce GTX 950 is equipped with GM206 Maxwell graphics processor with 768 CUDA cores and 2GB memory across 128-bit interface. This card will soon replace GTX 750 (Ti) in the stack of power efficient models from NVIDIA. More info to come.

It's looking good, I guess this is the card that will replace the 750Ti. If it performs decently and comes at a low price, I'm sure this will be popular among budget builds.

EDIT: Added pictures of Gigabyte and Zotac 950 Custom Cards - Confirmed that GTX 950 has 768 CUDA cores.

I can finally confirm that GTX 950 has 768 CUDA cores and 2GB GDDR5 memory across 128-bit interface. In terms of clocks, I can only tell you what datasheets are stating. GeForce GTX 950 allegedly comes with a base clock of 1089 MHz and boost clock of 1266 MHz. What’s interesting, the memory clock is not 7 GHz, but 6.6 GHz (1652 MHz). It means in comparison to GTX 960 the clock is 100 MHz slower. Of course that won’t be a problem for overclockers.

Rebranded 750Ti?

The 750Ti was 640 cuda cores. The 950 claims 768, which suggests that it may not be a rebrand even if it uses the same architecture.

I guess it'll be a 'budget' card for a little less than 200 euro's/dollars, what makes the gtx960 probably still a better choice.

Is the 950 for 13 year olds who are too lazy to do 4 months of newspaperounds to get a R9 290, but instead do 2 months for a 950?

Rebranded 750Ti?

It's the second generation Maxwell architecture. 750 and 750 Ti were first gen, a foundation for the GTX 980 and 970 so to say.

I only want this card so I can have it as my phyX card  :)

Those are so outdated now, most, if not all GPUs have PhysX integrated and put almost no additional load on the GPU. Plus modern titles barely use it anymore.

Looks like an HTPC, light gaming card for me. With the maxwell arquitecture and it's low TDP and power consumption it could be a nice card for media PCs.

PLEASE let there be a notshittylooking blower. And a cheap card (like 100 USD). If that would be the case, my sister would have to wait on her computer to go from a 6570 to a 950 (right now it has a beastly overclocker of a 3450).

Because her birthday is in a few days and my mom can't spend much more than the $55 or so it takes to get an R7 240. BEFORE ANYONE BITCHES AT ME FOR PROMPTING THE PURCHASE OF A LOW END VIDEO CARD: It's used for Minecraft, YouTube, and Flash games on a 1280x1024 monitor, and even then the damn thing only has 2GB of RAM.

Too bad you're such a ways off, I'd happily sell my old 6850 for a good price ^_^ + I'd take your old card since it's currently in an office PC.
