Actually this is a use case I hadn't considered for low end cards -- people who could use a modern iGPU instead but don't fancy spending money on a new i3 and motherboard just for the equivalent a $60 GPU.

Well, it's not really worth to spend the 200-ish $ for new mobo+cpu+ram (C2D used DD2 IIRC) when you can pick up a 7770 for 65$ and call it a day.

PLEASE let there be a notshittylooking blower. And a cheap card (like 100 USD). If that would be the case, my sister would have to wait on her computer to go from a 6570 to a 950 (right now it has a beastly overclocker of a 3450).

As much as I want and hope this card to be a $100 it is probably just going to be another $150 like the 750ti has been for the longest time.

Why not get a 260x it's a very solid card for 90 dollars

You can buy upwards a 7850 for $55 on reddit hardware swap. Definitely check it out.

Sadly it's my mom that'll be buying this and she only buys from like Amazon, NewEgg, NCIX, etc.

Yeah, many websites have speculated it wouldn't be that much, and it's instead a placeholder price. Realistically, I see it selling for $100 -$150.

There's something called budgets m8. What if someone is trying to build a computer and doesn't want to go higher than $400 because they want to spend the rest of the money on other things?

Those are so outdated now, most, if not all GPUs have PhysX integrated and put almost no additional load on the GPU. Plus modern titles barely use it anymore.

Inb4 mirror's edge hype .on my 760 When i went back and forth with the character into some physx strip of plastic my fps tanked from 80 to 30-40 and it was worth it

I'm not sure... but if someone has only a strict budget, why the heck buy all things new? You would get 2 or 3 times more performance with second hand.

I guess it'll be a 'budget' card for a little less than 200 euro's/dollars, what makes the gtx960 probably still a better choice.

If Nvidia were playing it smart they would (hopefully) make it like $140 or lower, anything more than that would suggest that the 960 is better for the money.
