This is the best image of Pluto you've ever seen.

Pluto is a planet. We all know the truth; #NEVERSETTLE

And cool, though I thought that pluto was supposed to be blue or grey do to it's icy surface.

IT ISNT BLUE!? Everything elementary school taught me is a lie!

Where did it show it being blue? Neptune is blue, Pluto is not. Pluto is brown-ish orange.

So wait. The planet Pluto, which is smaller than our moon, has five moons of its own?

Another one (dat amazing 5.9kB image size) coming down the pipe in native resolution, this one nearing 10 miles per pixel, 4 million km away:

I think this one might be the last globe-size image we get, until color data comes down and we see this one in color. Further ones will probably be close-up sections of the (dwarf) planet as the craft New Horizons finally "flies by" in 2 days.

Afraid not. The first image I posted in this thread is to scale. Charon's diameter is about half of Pluto.

Am I the only one thinking that someone needs to donate better camera's to NASA?

No seriously, why do these photo's look like they were taken in 1967?
