New pc won't start after adding wifi and Bluetooth pcie card

I just bought my first pc tow days ago and today bought a wifi+Bluetooth PCIe card and after hooking it up the pc won't start with the motherboard yellow light is on

 

Not sure what's the problem or how to fix it

Was it one that goes in a normal PCIe slot, or one that goes into an M.2 WiFi socket on the motherboard?

Do you have another slot you can try it in?  Generally the x16 slot furthest away from the CPU can also be tried as its usually not shared with the GPU, though neither should the x1 slots.

Yes, removed the card and it started normally

I've tried all the slots in my motherboard with the same results

I guess its probably defective then.

 

Did you plug the USB cable in and if so have you tried without?

Tried with and without, same result

Had the same problem with the same network card. Refer to your motherboard documentation and make sure you've got the 4-pin connector in the right spot. 

 

Edit: It was actually the TPLink AX3000 but I still recommend checking your MB Docs.
