Meh. I'll stick with my 840 Pro 512GB. Keeps everything I need on it and I don't even have to have an HDD.

Be interesting to see how fast the price falls on these in say a years time.

Holy shit nearly had an aneurysm when I misread "2000 GB" as "2000 GBP" xD

On the subject of price, though, I'm guessing this is going to be about £550 - £600. Probably not going to shave a tonne off the £/GB ratio.

The pricing of the 2TB Evo is pretty good -- $0.40/GB is one of the better $/GB ratios. Also, that storage density...

Alright, my 512GB Model was 700AUD, imagine a 1TB model, let alone 2TB, that's the same price as my 5960X!

Why 512 gigs? It's pretty big for someone who is afraid of SSDs. Also, why don't you like SSDs? They are way faster, just as reliable (as long as it's a high-end one) and silent.

Does the M550 to the 850 Evo really have that 200 minutes gap?

Testing need to be done!

According to Anandtech it's closer to 120, but yes, there is a big difference because Micron decided to put a higher power processor under the hood for the controller.
