Agreed. Just to point out, I'm not claiming that sexism doesn't exist, merely that you need proof of it to actually do something about it. The same thing applies to any form of discrimination. You can't justify an accusation with statistics alone. As I said earlier, correlation is not causation.

She might be able to get her professor's PowerPoint presentations, but there's no guarantee and it wouldn't be worth the effort because she's ceased caring about arguing with you. (Okay, the claims made in educational books can be disputed. I recall one in a health class that basically said marijuana is literally Hitler, but that's an entirely different story.)

I've no issue with a polite but passionate discussion. My problem is when insults start to come in, mainly because I feel compelled to respond in kind (just my nature), which is something I have been trying to avoid as of late. I actually quite enjoy a good discussion, with people expressing personal theories, rather than parroting what's been said before by others. Also I enjoy them because I have no real friends, and even when I did they weren't on the same intellectual level as I am (they were that moronic) and everyone in my immediate family, whom I live with, has reached the age where the only thing they say is "who cares, what can you do about it?". Drives me nuts.

 

I know where you stand on the marijuana thing, as last year I had to take a psych 101 class as apart of my networking security degree course (not sure how that works), and they made some claims about marijuana that I knew, from studies that I had read, to be untrue. I refused to answer the "correct" answer, and emailed the teacher, explaining why that wasn't the correct answer, with links to the study that proved it to be completely incorrect.

Feminism is just another form of Socialism, this is hidden under the pretense of being women's rights (Be mindful there is a very distinct difference from Feminism and Women's Rights). Women's right movement did what it as supposed to do and succeeded, feminism took over and uses that pretense to push along its agenda. I do support women's right but not feminism. <-- I have been called many things for making this statement.

 

Extreme Feminism is way to destroy the family dynamic in a strong attempt to get women to take on roles that are (this is not meant to a biased or contentious comment) not made for women interaction. The female body is not the same a male. Women are designed for certain tasking as is the same as men. Men are structurally made to perform labor intensive tasks, women are structural designed to have children. Women in the military? wont go there here.

 

No I Am Not saying men cant raise children. I help my wife with ours and my wife stays home, this was decided before being married and we both agreed that whomever had the higher paying job works, but we have had 4 in the 8 yrs together so she doesn't work atm.

Feminism has changed the family dynamic so much that more children are in Daycare instead of at home with the parents were they belong to be raised properly. 

 

Feminism is wrong in any way, shape, form or fashion.

I think feminism, the idea that women should be treated equally as men, is great and everyone should support it. But then, there are Feminazis like Anita Sarkeesian or whatever who give feminists a bad name by taking it too far.

I don't think the industry is "listening to the feminists" so much as realising that the gamer demographic is no longer mostly 18-24 straight white males. It's at a point now when female gamers actually outnumber the males, if only by like 1%. So game developers are having to be more creative, because increasing diversity in games and letting people play someone other than a gruff, brown-haired, white male with permastubble can only bring more people in. It gets horribly boring playing the same type of protagonist over and over again. Whatever makes them more money.

 

And those types you mention are not feminists, they're feminazis. If they're screeching about how men need to die and how they're inferior then they're not feminists, they're gross misandrists who give the rest of us a bad name. Feminist = equality, not flipping the patriarchy on it's head and making it a matriarchy instead. Those nutso "Won't somebody please think of the children?!" Moral Guardian types who do shit like get GTA V pulled from the shelves at Target because you can kill prostitutes in it need to take a chill pill because there are worse things to cry about. If the game was 100% about killing prostitutes (as opposed to being able to just kill indiscriminately) then maybe you'd have a point. Indeed. The problem is that the "equality" pushers refuse to accept the idea that some people are born better suited to certain tasks. They call this "the genetic lottery" when talking about financial implications. What they ignore, that life isn't fair, nothing in nature is perfectly equal or balanced (at least not yet)

 

In fact, just about EVERYTHING in nature, is dependent upon imbalance. This is a physical property of our universe, and as a result, I feel it influences everything that falls under the term "our universe". Work cannot be done (speaking from a physics point of view) if all things are equally distributed. @LukaP could probably explain this better than I can, as he is a physicist. It's something to do with concentration of energy and its dispersing whenever it can.
