Basically dealing with my mom, dad, brothers and girlfriend all cause me stress. I can keep my head for a little while, but eventually I get frustrated.

Example: I just bought/installed a h80i and I told my brother about it, and he said "so is your pc a fish tank now?" I was like ugh never mind.

So I was chatting with a friend a few days ago and he was complaining about how he always ended up with viruses on his computer.

Him:Yeah it's really annoying, I've had to reinstall windows already and I might have to wipe my hard drive again.

Me: How the hell do you keep on doing that? What the hell are you downloading?!?

Him: I just download a lot of stupid shit all the time.

Me: Well then, maybe, just maybe, you should try not downloading said stupid shit? I have a feeling that might just solve your problem.

There was a couple seconds where he had this look that was a cross between indignance, realization, and dumbfoundedness.

Him: Well I like to mod my games and make them more awesome.

Me: Oh right, I've seen you mod skyrim. Your mod folder was bigger than the raw game, half the mods were from third party websites, and there were a few that would make pornstars blush. You could only run 6 of them at one time without the whole computer crashing. And what about those less than reputable pirated game torrents, the lack of an ad block, and the lack of a virus protection program?

Him: I just never got around to downloading those. And I can explain those mods-

Me: I'd rather you not.

Long story short, next time I see him he's gonna bring his computer and he's gonna let me put a second GPU for SLI, overclock the CPU, and get a half hour with a clean OS to install some other stuff on.

I can be a cynical a**hole at times. I apologize if I cause any offence at those time. I also occasionally have issues communicating my point. Extreme introversion + Photographic memory + Some other things.

My brother steals my pc all the time. The reason? "I can play Roblox at 800FPS! and it's so intensive!"

Dude, come on, the laptop can play at 60FPS just fine. And Roblox is not fucking intensive, for Yeezus' sake.

The only part I disagree with you on is complaining about the mod folder being bigger than the base game. Fallout New Vegas is about 8-9GB on a fresh install. My mod folder is around 30GB. Not because of viruses, but because of textures.

Plus, tell him to only ever use the Nexus to download mods

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - CPU Cooler: Deepcool Castle 240EX - Motherboard: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC

Indeed my Skyrim mod folder is about 50GB Most of my mods are deactivated in mod organizer due to stability issues but I just don't bother properly removing them from my mods folder. Anyways it's not too difficult to go overboard with modding. I did that and it cased my main game to not be stable enough for me to play and I'm too lazy to fix it :( Also when it works my game runs at about 20-30fps with a R9-290. (No way I'm turning down my enb though :P )

Really? Huh. When I played Skyrim my mod folder was only 4-5 something gigs. I didn't realize other people downloaded so many mods.

Some of the teachers in my school don't know about the speaker icon on the right of the taskbar and get completely confused when the sound doesn't work. I usually have to fix it for them.

terrytek, you're not the only one with a brother that is on the forum. Sadly bear-in-the-air is my (identical) twin. At least he is a techie.

My friends were wanting to get a console and they all wanted the xbone and I asked why.  They said the graphics look way better then PC and PS4, and they still believe this even if I try to convince them its not.

I have found the (very) small community of pc gamers in my school, so that is not much of a problem for me.

Over friend of mine has a 780 and an i7(asked him what i7 and he didn't know off the top of his head.) he plays gmod....... WHY MUST THAT POWER BE PUT TO WASTE!!!!!! hold me...

The year is 20XX. Everyone plays Fox at TAS levels of perfection. Because of this, the winner of a match depends solely on port priority. The RPS metagame has evolved to ridiculous levels due to it being the only remaining factor to decide matches.

Only Abate, Axe, and Wobbles can save us.

Somebody Wanted me to backup their files on their laptop. I took all of the Documents that were everywhere on the desktop and the download folder put them in 4 main folders (Powerpoints, Word Documents, PDFs,Spreadsheets) put those in the Documents Library Folder. They later came back and was mad and said I unorganized all their files and that she had them all put in folders for each class, and such.  Took me 30 minutes to explain I just took your files you dumped in the default download folder, I put them in you document folder with very simple organization and I didn't touch your Classes or any other folders just the desktop and download folder, your files you "Organized" are exactly where you left them.

My Gaming Bio thingy?  Anyhow I love co-op gaming so add me.   :) Skype/Origin/Uplay/Steam/Other -> "GuestForeverX"

I hear you on this one...

Such a pain when you have to back up someone's data and they have it all scattered on the desktop in random groups and folders. What I do now is I ask if they want the desktop back to the way it was and if so, I take a pic, create the backup folder called "desktop stuff" and toss everything in there. When it comes time to put the files back I dump it all back on the desktop.

I also find if I go through things with the person before doing anything you can eliminate a lot of the clutter. I ask them "do you need this? and this?" and "Do you mind if I put this stuff in folders named accordingly and make things more organized?" and usually they accept that. Chances are they're back to tossing everything on the desktop again in no time, but at least you tried...lol. :P
