Experiences with non-techies

Earlier this week at school my teacher couldn't figure out how to get speakers to work on her projector, so some stupid boy and girl went up there and obviously had NO IDEA what they were doing. Later in that same period, she couldn't figure out how to put a disc into the disc drive on her laptop. xD The same guy from earlier went up and they fiddled around with it for a while until the kid figured out that you're supposed to push the disc down     before that though my teacher said "It says made for windows on the disc" :D oh my gosh

My media settings on my PC mean that anyone on the same same network can see the machine but can't access it. My mom was on her phone, can't remember what application but was complaining that I had access to her phone, had to explain that she can only see my device because we are on the same network.

That's because it's clocked higher and most games utilize no more than 4 threads.

Yeah but games are starting to but if you've read what some of the people say they just sound stupid.

I recall one person saying the 4790k is better in rendering because of its 8 thread little does he know the 5820k has 12threads.

I feel sorry for @Echo

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

snip

So I was at school, my school uses TV to replace projector, ok nothing is wrong.

My teacher pulled her PC and somehow the TV became dark (No Signal).

Everybody was damn confused, nobody could fix it....

"It could be the PC! Restart it!" a friend of mine (boy) shouted

"No, it could be the mouse! Move the mouse around!" another friend (girl) shouted

"Uhh.... It could be the cable.... I mean HDMI cable." I said that

"Shut up Dim!" both boy and the girl

"Alright dude, chill."

Then this girl, who shouted me, wiggled the HDMI cable and it worked.

"So, *cough* did it work? *cough*"

"F*ck off Dim!"

"Alright dude <_<"

What a friend

4096 width is vertical lines from left to right, not horizontal. 1920x1080 vs 1920x1200. Both have same number of vertical lines. One has 120 less horizontal lines than the other. Playing 1080P movie, The 1920x1200 monitor with more horizontal space (lines) will result in 2 black bars on the top and bottom.

Vertical is up and down. Horizontal is left and right.

I honestly didn't read the OP posted that the OS is on SSD.

I already knew that defragmenting SSD is a bad thing.

The possible damage is greatly exaggerated. But it is absolutely pointless wear-and-tear.

@smashlaptop.bat person:

Did you use the one to execute all the batches at same time?

Make sure they don't make the non-techie mistake of throwing out the old one! Gotta be some ram in there that still works! ebay the mobo! (Guessing that the screen and HDD are likely GG)

Yeah vertical is up and down and horizontal is left and right. I was also mentioning where they start and end. Vertical lines start at the left side of the screen and ends on the right. Horizontal lines starts at the top of the screen and ends at the bottom.
