Considering a GTX770 can max out a Battlefield 4,Crysis 3, and Metro LL I would be very surprised if it can't max out GTA V.

I haven't played a single game yet that I couldn't max out on my GTX670OC and I doubt GTA V will change that in the slightest.

The numbers i'm seeing don't agree with you, im expecting watch dogs tier performance, hopefully without the stutter. But i won't be buying the game, ive got it on PS4

All those numbers are totally off besides Watchdogs which stutters while driving anyways.(And this is all with high AA which takes easy 10-20fps)

Especially the Battlefield 4 numbers are extremely off :(Maxed Out 4xMSAA+FXAA)

gallery_24650_1098_134446.jpegSame goes for Metro LL (Maxed With PhysX) the fps are even higher but I had adaptive V-sync on:

gallery_24650_1098_112572.jpegAnd in Crysis 3 I get around 35-40fps (Maxed 4xMSAA) which is playable as you can see on the dead bodies and with FXAA it gets in the 40-50s:

gallery_24650_1098_415871.jpeg

(All on a single GTX670OC a GTX770OC should do even more)

I highly doubt that GTA V maxed will be that hard to run especially if you use FXAA instead of MSAA.

We'll just have to wait and see.

How can it have MSAA, FXAA, and TXAA on at the same time? Most games have it so it can be one or the other?

Will the game engine not support refresh rates above 60 Hz?  I've seen no mention of it.

My PC specifications are in my profile.

Msaa is earlier in the pipeline, fxaa and txaa are post render operations, they wouldn't be on at the same time as txaa includes fxaa

Battlefield 3 & 4 for example used both Msaa and fxaa

Rockstar along with NVIDIA on their website has stated that GTA 5 has no refresh rate limit.

So 120/144hz rate goodness is a yes.

Now i am sorry, but that GTX 670 2GB is not overclocked, now is it?

- However saying it can run everything ultra with no issues is a bit bullshit :P

Hold on hold on, what kind of GPU has 6143mb of video memory?

6143MB is 6GB essentially.

The extra numbers is just the game brain farting.

And we have plenty of card with or more than 6GB

Titan has 6GB, 290X has an 8GB model, and Titan X has 12GB as well.

My impression is that it uses an enhanced version of the engine used for Max Payne 3 (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine - The RAGE engine).

- If this is true, which it is, it is great news! Greatly improved pc optimisation and Max Payne supported more than 60 FPS i am sure! :)

Anyone know if it will have native 21:9 support? I noticed there was an option for aspect ratio but so do other games that don't support 21:9.

Just about...

HD 4870 is 7yo card.... if she can run this even on min specs.... that's impressive

I think this should be put in the OP

Another reminder, Watch_Dogs had lower recommended spec than GTA V, will people be mad when their 770 won't max this out at ultra either?

4870! Didn't that come out in 2008? And he's not even at lowest settings. Got to give rockstar credit. And AMD seems to generally do a good job with drivers even for older cards.

Game has options for using DX11, DX10.1 and DX10.0, possibly even DX9 I didn't look that far into the selections...

I wonder what the Visual cost/FPS increase is when using DX10.1 VS DX11 in varied areas.

Maybe DX10.1 + 4xMSAA looks better than DX11 + 2xMSAA

Anyone care to compare screenies of (similar game details using) DX10.1 VS DX11?

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
