solved it by removing the power cord

seems to happen when i either restart my comp or connect my valve index its as if windows is refusing detection probably because a registry value has it permanently set to disabled and i have no idea what to look for

i have a 2 monitor setup a 3440x1440 ultra wide(win10 detects this as display 1:using displayport) and a 1920x1080 flat screen(win10 detects this as display 2:using HDMI) i use display 1 for gaming and display 2 for day to day use as depicted in the photo ive ran into an issue that ive only solved once before but cannot replicate the result of the solution which was disconnect the display and run the clean unplugged drivers from iobit driver booster and restart the pc and connect the display its as if theres some kind of cached settibg inb win10 that needs to be deleted ive tried DDUing r

ya well he let me bring it home to stick into a x470 board i have and same behavior memory controller fried because defaults weren't loaded prier to the swap

the mobo is fine as stated hes back up and runninhg with a oced 2700

u dont want to remove the power cable just turn the power switch off otherwise the pc is no longer grounded and yes

i swear the bios killed it

also wpuld making the software not rely on rpm signal prevent this

the casefront fans dont have a rpm signal on the fan itself but i did use a fan that does to sync it the rpm card this behavior also accures with the case rear which the fan does have a rpm signal wire

ive set the start and stop % for my fans but they wont run between these % example minimum fan speed set to 35% start = 50% stop =30% fan stuck at 52% or if minimum set to 0% the fan jumps between 0% to 48% every 1 second ryzen 7 1700 msi x370 gaming plus (latest non-beta bios) windows 10 pro 1909 openfancontrol 59(updated from 57)(deleted old version first and profiles)

ive been looking around ever since i got this card but have found very little for this pcb design it has 1x 5mili ohm resistor for the 6pin and 1x 2milli ohm resistor for the 8 pin i want to lift the power limit farther than the 290watt bios allows since i hat smacking against power limit and getting a massive frame time spike its gotten me killed in tarkov a couple times i found where to buy the resistors but am not sure what to buy for the 2milli ohm resistor since that rail might be more sensitive to any resistance changes 3.5 milli ohms maybe? also thinking of going with a 8 or 7

ordered a 3700x and it posted with it so yep u lose older generation support if u update to the latest bios

as stated i was trying to get his rig to run the kit of 3600mhz ram but the bios that was installed only could go 3400mhz also the 3700x arrived and installed and it posted no problems so clearly now if u update this board it will revoke/remove support for ryzen 2000 series and older cpus
