Cell phone ram usage too high?

I bought a refurbished google pixel 7a with 8 GB of memory and I used a app called DevCheck to see if the battery was good but I noticed that I was using 5gbb of ram when idling. No apps open. Is that normal? Here are some pictures to see if you notice anything. Also let me know if there is any more information I can get for you.Screenshot_20240521-183757.thumb.png.4a899175e5c2eadea41151507dd50f85.png

Yes. Android will keep stuff in memory as much a possible, since it needs less battery than reloading things from storage.

Unless you can't open apps because you run or if memory, nothing to worry about.

That's normal and you probably use less RAM by not installing apps that "optimize" the OS or other useless apps. Less is more.

If you are lucky such apps are just snake oil and steal some resources. If you are unlucky, they are worse.

I also restart my phone every night. Not sure that helps, but sure doesn't hurt.

[ Moved to Troubleshooting ]

Unused RAM is wasted RAM. Just let Android manage it the way it wants to.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.
