pixel 8 pro android noob , whats app for video call ?

So im kinda a noob for android and idk what app is reliable or stable/safe for facetime , the google meet is so confusing that i gave up on it, i was wondering about whatsapp

is it good and secure ? or should i have just went with a iphone 15 plus ?

Whatsapp is secure and mostly used in EU.

So far only you and other in chat have encryption and can change it but no one is actually changing it and you'll get notified also even some people uses chat timer so it deletes in x amount time.

You can change in setting to mute unknown callers so you'll never know if you got called unless you see 1 in tab calls.

Although it is managed by meta.
