LGBT community

carguy86

I know it doesn't "make me gay" or anything like that, but the vast majority of my friends outside the interwebz are girls, mainly LGBT ones I've met in the GSA.

So my question:

Does your school (if you still attend) have a GSA or sorts?

When I was in school it had no GSA or LGBT Group.

Of all things that got allowed as an Anti LGBT Club was approved by the principal at the time and that was shut down cause of the school district.

I am straight, but fine with people being LGBT.Would be fine if my child is L or T but not G.

Why are you OK with girls liking the same sex and not men? I always find this point of view a bit disgusting - this is a media-influenced opinion often brought on by views of porn. I hate it....

Glad to hear that got shut down. Why would someone be part of a club that enforces hating perfectly normal people?

Hold up please explain your reason about why you wouldn't be ok if your child was gay.

If you had a daughter that was Lesbian she would still be classified as "gay" just as a female.

Well, if you're "not OK" with having a gay son, how would you go about it? You said you wouldn't disown them - a step in the right direction - but would you view them differently?

Nah,that would be wrong viewing someone differently for being LGBT or handicapped is wrong, only thing is that he should keep his pants on and do whatever they call it discretely and not in front of me.

That is quite precise.

I would say that I prefer women on a scale of 89/11.

Liam Hemsworth is great. The other 89% is Zooey Deschanel.

EDIT: Also, @EarthboundHero is bisexual I believe.

Not update to date on this thread. But yeah I am. I have the same ratio as @WinNut, but in favor of woman. I just kinda figured everyone knew, so I really didn't come out. I know when I found out I was bi though, let's just say there was a guy and we experimented. That was couple years ago. No one has seemed to care. Not even my dad who told me when I was young, "If you're gay, I will disown you."

Maybe they just kept up with the times? I know people who used to think that, until the recent push for LGBT public awareness made them rethink their position.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

I doubt it, when I told him he was begging for love from his kids. That's a long story, and a tad personal so I won't get into it. What I'm trying to say is, he probably just ignored it because he wanted me to love him. If I had told him when my mum and him were still together, then he probably would've freaked out.

So no PDA? That's a fair rule no matter the sexuality. I wouldn't want my kids to have a makeout session right in front of me while I'm doing my thing, they can keep that elsewhere.

And I believe it's called the same thing for LGBT people, so kissing, sex whatever still applies :P

I am fine tough if my daughter is a l and does it in front of me or right in the living room,it wont freak me out much compared to men with men.I know it does sound kinda biased, but thats how i am.

This is common, actually. I saw multiple studies on it a while back. Much more people are accepting of girls kissing then guys.

I'm a straight dude. But huge props to the LGBT community out there. Ya'll cop alot of shit that isn't deserved. More than a few times I've had to stand up for a couple of my gay friends because people have tried to physically bully them about their sexuality, it's kinda shitty in that sense.

@Shotgun eeh, ngl with me it's either way, depending on the situation. If it's two people I find attractive then them kissing would be to me more (at this point in writing I sneezed so loudly that someone in the street below shouted "god bless whoever that was!") then two people of the opposite sex kissing if I weren't to find them attractive. But from a personal standpoint, I find kissing a guy nicer then kissing a girl, even if I feel the same attraction towards both.

I don't fit that sort of cliché that is set for gay people so I haven't really been targeted for bullying off of sexual orientation and I've not been public/open about my sexuality though I'm pretty sure I am gay or to some extent. I have however been called gay because my friend who I don't know what his deal is (he hasn't talked to me in like 4 months) anyways he used to tap dance and he was in a boys choir and he was somewhat feminine but he's a brony now so yeah. Anyways back to what I was talking about, bullying to me was mostly about my weight which I suppose is granted since I really could use some weight loss but I've sort of learned to not let words get to me. As I like to say words on their own are harmless it is only when they are formed and intended to harm is when they should be automatically ignored.

Either-way I think that I could possibly be attracted to the opposite sex as well but not nearly as much as the same sex. I honestly enjoy being flamboyant I mean I do in a more sarcastic sense as maybe sort of trying to write over something I wrote prior before displaying it. (Sort of hiding the fact that I sort of enjoy doing more feminine things, the only thing is I can be quite a procrastinator and I'm not always the most proactive.)

I then added the "Short Film" part, I've been doing that with my profile pics lately as kind of a joke.

I've been using this one for longer than I usually do because Real Life called and b*tch slapped me for wasting time on such trivial things.

I'm bisexual. I have a boyfriend, but my parents can't really find out about our relationship. Ever since a while ago when they were suspecting I was bi/gay and considered it a "disease" I immediately knew that I had to keep it a secret :( *sigh*

Unfortunately I have at least a couple people in my family who would act similar to that. My mom's boyfriend and his family is sort of like that too.

Fortunately my mom doesn't really care. She sort of has that you do you as long you being you isn't illegal or harming other people sort of attitude.

In addendum to my post, I went to my HS's GSA once it was okay but since it's every week I kind of haven't attended since the first one. Also I don't drive yet and I'd have to rely on my grandma to bring me home (or walk a little over a mile on a busier road that is currently under construction and no side walk.) So yeah...

So i'm pansexual but I just tell people bisexual usually because generally most people know what that is and it's close enough.

As far as coming out well. My boyfriend didn't even really know until we were talking online about stuff. I ended up mentioning that I was straight for the most part but for some reason in furry art, guys were really attractive to me along with male on male interactions. But a quick look at some pictures of real guys just... didn't really do it for me and sorta grossed me out still. It wasn't until one night I was just kinda spaced out thinking about some random stuff. Thought's about my sexuality came to my head. See my mate had been flirting with me, though I thought it was just a "gay guy messing with the straight guy" type flirting, and I noticed that in some weird way I... really liked it. But I had a hard time figuring out whether it was because of him or if it was cause he's a guy or if it was just the actions in general ignoring gender at all. After a bit of thinking about I figured that maybe it would just take the right guy. I had no idea he was actually interested in me, just thought he was being silly. A few weeks later, if that, we were talking online and he finally told me that he liked me. I guess he needed to get it out there finally and was probably expecting a different response... I forget how the conversation went exactly but I ended up telling him more or less that I wasn't against it and all that. We ended up talking after school the next day. Funny enough the day he told me,  another of my friends asked me out... but he lived over in the UK and i'm just not sure I could handle a long distance relationship for too long.

As for my mother, she didn't know for a little while. I think it was about three months into it that she found out. I was waiting after school for band practice (marching band stuff) and she would pick me up to get something to eat and drop me back off. Well my mate and another friend were hanging out after school and they decided to tag along. Later after band practice my mom aksed me on the way home if he (my mate) was gay. So I told her yea and that he's the guy she saw walking home after picking me up that day (the day we ended up talking after school actually). Then she asked if I was gay and well... I said something like "not exactly... but" and then asked if we could talk about it after we got home.

Outside of my friends no one at school  really knew. When the guys in band found out it was kinda funny. I went to drop my stuff off in the band room and as I walked past I heard one of them call out "Tygron........ we need to talk" earlier that day during band class I could feel them talking about me in the back of the room. I couldn't hear them, but somehow I knew they knew. That ended up being pretty funny really.

And then my grandparents.... i'd been with my boyfriend for 4-5 years at this point. They still didn't know. We broke up for a little bit (long story not really necessary, it all makes convoluted sense in the end that still ends up making some people go "then why the fuck did you get back together" so just don't worry about that) and I was kinda down one day and home alone. So I figured i'd go over to their place for a while. And so I told them. They apparently had sorta figured it out but didn't wanna ask me incase they were wrong and thought that would really hurt my feelings. I had been kinda afraid to tell them, I didn't wanna get them all worried and stuff.

So yea that's about it really. I don't really care who knows at this point, though when meeting new people I don't immediately bring it up or let it be known really. I want people to get to know me first  before they know I have a boyfriend. One, because people are quick to judge and that could turn future interactions bad and I wanna avoid sa much drama as I can. And two, because I find it funny as hell when people go "wait wut" or just flat out don't believe me. Had a guy at Taco Bell think everyone was joking and ended up asking me. He thought I was just going along with it all until he saw me kiss my mate out in the parking lot one day xD
