DX12 doesn't magically remove CPU bottleneck.  All it does is lessen a CPU bottleneck IF the bottleneck is draw calls, and not CPU IPC.

 

Looking at those screenshots I assumed there would be a draw call bottleneck because of the drawing distance and details of it. DX12 and Mantle do alleviate CPU bottleneck even if it is IPC by using more cores if they are available.

Would still prefer gameplay videos, running 1440p/4K even more ideally.  But those are beautiful screenshots.  Not too late for me.

Looks great but these are just screenshots. We still have no idea if it runs smoothly. The screenshots also look like they might be in 4k considering how smooth the edges are. I will get this game if it is well optimized. I was thinking of getting it on this coming steam sale event but it already only cost $45 in my country so I might get it sooner after release.

I am more than a little excited for this to come out. Even after a play through on the PS3 I'm psyched. 

 

I am still wondering how much GPU horsepower you are going to need to run it well, but fingers crossed.

If people don't care anymore they have either already played it, or watched to much of it on YouTube (your own fault), or they were just never that interested anyways.

They have already earned big so I don't think they are sad that they lost some potential buyers on the way. But I wouldn't be surprise if many of those saying that they "lost interest" are going to buy it someday. (steam sales man)

Multicore utlization in a draw-call limited situation.  Go run the Star Swarm benchmark,. CPU stays at 100% when on DX11, and stays around 50% on Mantle.  That's not strictly CPU-utilization per se, but a result of not being bottlenecked by draw calls.

GTA V sold 45+ million copies already, what could it possibly be too late for? Break the 50 mil mark? They'll probably get that before the year is over.

I haven't forgotten GTA IV and I don't do preorders anyway. I'm interested of course, though I still want to see port reports, benchmarks and user experiences before I buy.

 

Witcher 3 has had it's delays too but they were handled much better.

This is LTT. One cannot force "style over substance" values & agenda on people that actually aren't afraid to pop the lid off their electronic devices, which happens to be the most common denominator of this community. Rather than take shots at this community in every post, why not seek out like-minded individuals elsewhere?

Now that unreal is free and I'm guessing DX12 support will be coming soon (judging by their update frequency), I can see mere and more nicer looking games coming out.

I never pre order normally however I picked V up from GMG @ 31% off which a special voucher code they emailed me.

As for hype, well I already finished it on 360 so I can wait, I'd like to play it but I'm not so hyped that I'm gonna shout because of 2 weeks.

basically got a ps3 for this game and for the last of us......hype is dead .. this should of been on PC months ago...game is still gonna kick ass even for the people with lower powered/older hardware "i hope".

Screens look good "so did watch dogs".

i pre ordered from a key shop like a sucka....
