There's always the "you don't need an AX1500i" conversation about high-wattage Power supplies, but 8Pack and SuperFlower are going one step further than that. They're releasing a 2000w Power supply, that will be exclusive to overclockesUK. This powersupply is fully modular, as well as an 80+ Platinum efficiency.

This seems personally like a very, very niche power supply that will barely sell, but at least they're getting publicity with this.

Modular cables includes with the PSU are as follows:

• 1 x 20+4-Pin ATX12V/EPS12V
• 1 x 8-Pin EPS12V
• 1 x 4+4-Pin ATX12V/EPS12V
• 9 x 6+2-Pin-PCIe
• 5 x 6-pin PCIe
• 18 x SATA
• 5 x 4-Pin-Molex
• 2 x Floppy

• 100% Full Modular Cabling Design For Easy Cable Management
• 80 PLUS ® Platinum Certified, 92% 94% 90% Efficiency At 20% 50% 100% Rated Load
• Full Range Auto Voltage Detection Design 100V~240V (Active PFC)
• Comply With Energy Star Standard & EuP (Energy Using Products) Regulation
• Over Voltage Protection / Over Current Protection / Over Power Protection / Short Circuit Protection / Under Voltage Protection
• Support All Intel/AMD Multi-Core CPU & ATX/BTX Compatible Motherboards
• Support NVIDIA® SLI™ & ATI CrossFireX™ High Performance Graphic Card
• More than 2,000 times On/Off test
• Unleaded Green Materials with RoHS/WEEE Compliance

This PSU starts at the monsterous price of £349.99, but as an OCUK exclusive, be prepared to pay for international shipping, should you honestly want one.

If you really need that much power, just get two PSU's. You'll probably have a case that can accommodate it.

I'd be one of the people going for 2 PSU, I've even ghetto'd an old AT power switch to turn on any PSU for the times where I want to run my GTX 650TI and GTX 970 at the same time with overclocks (650W doesn't cut it).

Actual 8 pin connectors.

Its the same thing, except that you can use them on 6 pin graphics cards as well.

Actual 8 pin connectors.

As @ said, you also have the 1 CPU 8pin if that counts ;)

exccept 6+2 pins are a pain to plug and unplug and look uglier due to the contorted wires.

Pointless without a second 24 pin ATX to power two systems in one enclosure.

Could plug in 3x 6+2pin connectors to power a 24pin ATX, theoretically (please dont try this at home)

so much want. this beast can power 4 8gb 290X's and an 5960X, the ultimate 4k gaming machine. personally i'm more interested in the amount of current that 12v can put out. what a monster!

@KingCry you need this for 770's :P

Enough that I've seen issues firsthand trying to run two on a 1500W AXi. The thermal control of the PSU can't keep up with the change in temperature causing PSU failure.

tbh i know a few people on ocuk have had problems with ax1200i and ax1500i when running 4 cards. I know the AMD rep on OCUK who run 4 290X's was running an evga 1600W P2 and has already ordered this new 2000w psu.
