This is how I feel when peasants say they prefer a controller to a KB/M for shooters.

I am one of those "pesants" when it comes to twitch shooters.

Ironically, it is because of a twitch I have in my right hand (injury-induced).

in casual shooters, and basically all other games, i'm OK.

Aim-Assist helps with that "twitch shooter" thing.

Aim-Assist helps with that "twitch shooter" thing.

It has very little to do with actually aiming, but more of a problem with randomly firing every once in a while, as well as, on particularly bad days, completely spazzing out (because my whole hand twitched and moved the mouse in some odd direction), and having to reorient myself.

A controller helps in greatly reducing the frequency of accidentally shooting off a round, and nearly eliminates the spazzi-ness

Have you tried finding a hobby that improves hand dexterity? My Dad's girlfriend has really bad shakiness in her hands but playing the guitar has helped to reduce that.

Unfortunately, not yet. I've tried everything under the sun to try and help it, nothing has worked yet. It's possible that because mine is injury induced (from my time with the Corps), I may not be able to find anything outside of corrective surgery, which has a current track record of more failure than success.

Wow, nice shitpost. You hurt your brain coming up with that response?

Edit: I just noticed, in the Gif in OP, there's a fucking mg-42 sitting behind them......why not turn that thing around and fire it at the enemy? Seriously. Unless maybe it was out of ammo.

It's even worse when you're watching game footage and you can just tell they're using a game pad - very robotic-like movement and they pass the target back and forth like 4 times before they take the shot. lol

I honestly don't care. What ever you prefer and what ever works best for you is fine with me. Some people are surprisingly good with game pads, even without aim assist. My brother-in-law destroys me in Halo. I don't know how he does it...

I'm truly honored to have been given the opportunity, but it's unfortunate that men and women have to serve this country. A necessary evil, if you will.

I borrowed a southpaw mouse from... uh... somewhere... I honestly don't remember haha. gave it a couple of months... just never got used to it.

@GingerbreadPK it's no skin off my back. Some guys came/come back with much worse problems than the (relatively) insignificant twitch that I have, and then there's who didn't/won't come back at all.

PC gaming with a controller really isn't all that bad. some people actually do quite a bit better.

For me its always KBM - but tbh I know a buddy that uses a controller for PC shooters and you'd never know if you didn't see him doing it

it's whatever works for you...

I'm down with PCMR and spreading truth about stuff like 60fps>30FPS is good, but let people use the input device they like! I have an xbox360 controller pretty much always attached to my computer because its good for some games :)

At least your on a PC marine. Not some peasant box. I must ask, is this "twitch" one that causes you to randomly fire when you shouldn't? lol, I know a few marines with that particular issue.

Indeed! :P

Yes sir, not in the sense of PTSD, trigger finger, or jarhead-ism... :P. Doctors don't know exactly why, or where they're coming from, but microscopic electron pulses or surges can be found running from about the inside of my elbow through all of my fingertips, and thumb. Is why on particularly bad days, my whole hand will spaz out, I should make note that bad days come once in a blue moon, or less.. :P I was medically/honorably discharged because of it, however it was about the time that my four years was up anyway, I had planned to discharge.

Stress makes it worse, but then again, stress make everything worse... :P
