Oh. Lol. I guess just the volume of Apple-related problems being posted by the media have caught me off guard.

Didn't know about that one... I'm not really following Apple news... I only know some keywords on them...

Still, won't the easy fix be disabling Siri when the phone is locked?

Congratulations apple, your quality control and product testing is obviously still half asleep at the moment. I love your stuff, and I really do want it to do well, but please. Please. Sort yourself out and get back to the way you used to be, from say, 2012?

I remember the iOS 7 bypass, you had to slide up to get the control panel type thing, then go to the alarm clock and double tape home really fast and you get in.

it was great!!!

Why are there so many flaw designs in mobile OS's. W7 and W8 and Linux doesn't have these issues (I assume) so how did Apple f*ck up so badly.

It's because Steve jobs left, he would have whipped the person who screwed up the iOS 8.0.1 update.

Hmm. I thought apple were generally quite good with QA. I guess apple kind of get big attention from the media (e.g. huge hype and articles written about the phones, but the downside is any mistake will be blown up by the media too). But it just seems like the whole launch has been a bit of a bumpy ride with the massively publicized "#bendgate' thing and 8.0.1 being pulled and now a passcode bug present in a new update.

On the plus side, at least apple are generally good at quickly rolling out a patch. Something that would take someone like Samsung weeks.

*sigh* The horrible thing is that it's true. Now we have no Jobs, it's not surprising it's getting screwed up. Maybe if Woz was there then it would be better. We can hope...

I don't think woz would be even close to jobs, but then no one will ever be. Honestly thought Mr.Ive would play a bigger role in apples management.

Not with Tim Cook there though.

I reckon Woz would be a big influence. He wouldn't have to do much, but basically be the "catalyst" for good quality, which is what Jobs was before, making sure almost no bad products were released.

woz mostly likely would not like the direction Apple is headed, but I don't know. He is long since gone and ,eft originally because of this. It would be interesting to see though.

But it could be worst, the CEO of a soft drink company could be running the show.

"Grabs popcorn"

Do you guys always have some popcorn handy? Mine all ran out after the bendgate thing.

The stone cannot know why the chisel cleaves it; the iron cannot know why the fire scorches it. When thy life is cleft and scorched, when death and despair leap at thee, beat not thy breast and curse thy evil fate, but thank the Builder for the trials that shape thee.

If he was, he'd slash the prices and have all macs as user serviceable as possible to the point it would just be a normal desktop. :D

He loved the old school hacker mentality, but wanted to give away his creations tot he community.

And that's why Woz is a legend. Honestly, he's probably my computing hero with what he's done in the past.
