Not sure what this exactly means, but Seagate just tweeted this out 20 minutes ago...

To put that in perspective, 1 ZB = 1000000000000000000000 bytes.

So 1 ZB = 1,000 EB. That's a lot of porn.

EDIT - first there's GB, then TB (1000 GBs), a PB (1000 TBs), a EB (1000 PBs), and then a ZB, which is 1000 EBs... This seems a bit more insane now...

I doubt anybody would need this much storage in 2 years besides looney.

im not so sure, the rate of data storage requirments for most people is not that high, it mainly the buisness sector thats pushing it
