Apple Users Frustrated with Apple iOS8 Update + (New Update)

Brace yourself, Another apple news!!

Well Quite Expected..

iOS-8-Logo-2.png

People have been taking their frustration on the new iOS8 upgrade via Social media allover the globe , The newly released OS for iphone is set at a download size of about 5.8 GB space being requied, Many of the users who  barely have enough room for an extra music or an image file has to delete a whole bunch of data in order to freeup space for the latest upgrade from apple,

One expert said Apple's updates were often prone to "teething problems"

"This update would be great... If you didn't have to delete half of the stuff on your phone just to install it."

                                                                                                                                                                      -   David Roberts

"So Apple put the #U2 album on everybody's phone and then tell them they don't have enough space for the #iOS8 upgrade"

                                                                                                                                                                     - Daniel Zennon

As you guys already know this is no the first time an issue occured durring an OS update from apple , in 2012 an upgrade to iOS6 cost a few peoples Precious memories & apps to be deleted automagically, while upgrading their OS,

As well as requiring a lot of storage, the latest version, iOS8, does not include apps that run with Apple's new HealthKit service, which is designed to work with third-party wearable health devices.this was indeed a minor bug & all the third party applications assosiated with it has been removed from the iphone App store,

There's always a rush on the servers on launch day, some delays, and usually some teething problems, That's why we always recommend that people wait a day or two before updating

                                                                                                                                                     - David Price

Apple users can avoid the need to free up storage space for the latest update by upgrading their software via iTunes on a Mac or PC, instead of through the phone or tablet itself.

Additionally, much of the free space required by the update is made available again once the installation process has completed.

So what you guys think? leave your thoughts & rants down below...

My opinion? Instead of people making such a big deal about it, just use iTunes to update... Unless you don't have a PC. Then you're stuck.

I've been telling people for years not to get iPhones. What is there to say other than, "maybe next time they'll think twice before they buy another iPhone"?

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Apple didn't think it though when they decided to release a huge update, some don't have huge data plans so downloading a 6gb OS after you delete everything is going to either cost you more or use a whole months allowance. Heck in NZ where most of my friends have iphones some don't have PC's and some don't even have internet at home so they are stuck without updating.

5.3GB.... Considering phone storage (especially on older iPhones) is pretty limited unless you want to splash some cash for a decent sized storage capacity. Even then 5.3 GB is a significant chunk, double digit percentage is most cases. Not to mention the windows ISO uses less than that. TBF though I believe it is an uncompressed update.

IMO, while it's a tad ridiculous that the update is that big, its not a big issue.  Although iTunes is a steaming pile of turd and  it's more of an issue for those who bought an iPad and iPhone under the assumption they would never need a computer.  A few years ago Jobs made a huge hullabaloo about being able to buy iPads and iPhones and never needing a computer and Apple store employees always stress that as well.

I'm sick of people freaking out every time Apple does something bad (even if they couldn't find a way around it) and then jumping to "Android is better!" if we freaked out every time Android phones did something bad we would be here for a loong time.  Not saying Android is bad, not at all, but the fact is, I'd like to see LG launch two phones with 4+ million pre-orders, live stream it on their website, sell it in very nice stores and launch their own updates which is downloaded by millions.  We could lean back and eat some serious popcorn watching that go down.

Give Apple a bit of a break.

PS:  I'm not an Apple fanboy, I hate a lot of what Apple does.

All mobile devices should have dedicated OS storage and dedicated usable storage and Apple specifically needs to allow uninstalling stock apps. I've been using IOS 4.6 on my iPod touch 5 to avoid the extra bloatware.

I was fine, I had 4.68GB free on my 5C, plugged it in to my laptop and downloaded, it was slower, but got through fine, the OS itself is overrated imo

Haven't put it on my 4s yet. Not sure how shitty the performance will be. I put it on my iPod touch, it only took about 1 and a half hours. Here's what I can say. The double tab home for multitasking lags pretty bad. The ability to add a new keyboard needs some work, it takes around 5 second until the keyboard loads, or it doesn't even load at all.
