A better smartwatch then any smartwatch

kuddlesworth9419

I just thought I should drop this here as all the hype for the Apple watch is getting crazy and I thought this watch needed some attention as it's what a smart watch should be.

Interesting concept, but I'll wait to see how it actually performs.

Rather sad that it's only 3 ATM water resistant.

It's also quite fat.

Well in return for it being fatter it has a regular mechanical watch face which can be viewed without wasting battery life, and when you consider that these smart watches have 200-300mAh batteries that's a big deal.

I want one. It's far too expensive for my uses, but it's brilliant.

I'll wait until people actually have them and I've seen a review... From what I heard they ran a kickstarter for this and it wasn't exactly convincing that they could actually pull off what they are saying they will do.

Uh if it turns out good then I'll be hyped, but I seriously have my doubts. It is the type of watch design I would wear though. But they're claiming 5-7 days of battery and it's 180mah? Well it is oled, but still.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Nice features, but far to bulky. I have a GShock I never wear because it's build like that.

Also in before Apple Watch is price competitive. ;)

Yeah 16.5mm is pretty damn thick. For comparison, the Apple Watch is about 12.5mm. 4mm is quite a lot if it's on a watch.

I think 3 ATM is enough. I just want to be able to wash my hands, or have it out in hard rain without having to worry.

We have no idea how good the transparent screen is either. Like Kairo themselves say:

Please note, the photos and video are intended for visualization purposes only. Actual production model may vary in size and design details. The transparent display is 40% to 60% transparent depending on the type of display you choose (TOLED Dot Matrix vs. TOLED ICON). In contrast, the video shows a 100% transparent state during off mode. This was done to show the design of the watch. Actual photos are available below at “Prototype to Production” section of the website. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

550 dollars for the lowest end model is really expensive as well.

It could be really cool, and it might flop.

At that price? No, it won't be ruling anything other than the "overpriced things that I want" list.

Is that... Is that a fan? Fan cooling on a watch!?

The stone cannot know why the chisel cleaves it; the iron cannot know why the fire scorches it. When thy life is cleft and scorched, when death and despair leap at thee, beat not thy breast and curse thy evil fate, but thank the Builder for the trials that shape thee.

I saw the word 'mechanical'.. then I saw the concept art...

Where do I buy it?

Hopefully it's also 50m water resistant...

Thats just the balance spring attached to the balance wheel to oscillate with a resonant frequency, to basically keep the time.

Sound: Custom one pros, Audioengine A5+ with S8 sub.

Really? Mine's 20 atm.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.
