My friend just bought Beats... Welp

I tried to tell him to go back to the shop straight away and return it, and he won't listen.... I told him in audio terms how they were inferior to pretty much everything on the market (okay maybe the SMS headphones are an exception...). I guess at the end of the day it's his money and he can spend whatever he likes with it. He knows I know a lot about tech. How are we supposed to tell people not to buy these stupid products if they won't listen? :'( :'( :'( :'(

 

Edit: please write a post here convincing my friend to return them. I will show him later and try to convince him...

Meh, some Beats are not that bad, just overpriced as fuck.

They are not bad headphones

 

they are just bad for what they cost and the new ones are getting better

I've tried the Solo 2's myself and they're not horrible like the first ones. They still aren't worth the price, but they're not as bad as everyone on the interwebs says they are just because they're "Beats".

Tell him to trade for a DNA, still look sexy and IMO, better than the Solo 2

People who purchase Beats are more interested in being a part of the trend rather than appreciating high fidelity audio. While there are many superior pairs of headphones available in that price range, they're not absolutely terrible.

 

That being said, it sounds like you're hating on them when you haven't actually tried a pair. That makes you just as bad as the people who purchase those headphones because 'they're cool'.
