The point still stands that there is an extremely unhealthy portion of anime and manga content that needs to be outlawed. I don't give a sh_t if anyone thinks it's 'just pictures' or 'just 2D'. If it were a cartoon depicting your parents or siblings being raped and/or killed, how would you feel?

Ok ok hold on here. Your "logical thinker" is more effected by the group consensus standard set by the human mind than what my view of a "logical thinker" is. 

 

Your hypothetical situation stands viable only if the source content was actual CP. However I yet to see anime somehow be "actual CP"(since well... that shit is "drawn" not recorded...)then converted to the real thing. That just doesn't work.... 

 

That comes back to the same point where we have a medium of entertainment where you can watch or play as someone killing people... it goes both ways....

I haven't done anything in the valiant defense of anime/manga lol.... all I did was lay out the logical points of this topic and discussed them.

Let's think in terms of "Objective Morality" here...

 

Say somewhere in the world, it is a custom for a child to lose her virginty to a horse at the age of 8 (this is something I pulled out of my ass and should not exist imo), who would the world be to deny the "culuture" of these people who treat this as "normal"... This is what's happening right now (although less extreme)... A culture is being branded as "immoral" by another culture whose norms differ greatly...

 

In Japan, this is allowed since they already understand that there are no "real cases" that will occur because of the existence of these materials... And yes, go ahead and argue to me several cases... Now we come into the comparison of the numbers of those cases compared to the number of consumers of the material... It should result in a very small ratio of cases to consumers.... In western perspective it's like the "video games cause violence" argument which can go on and on (like this thread right here)...

 

For now, the best solution for the west is to shut the fuck up... If someone in the west is screwerd enough in the mind to replicate this, then it's the problem of that person...

 

And another thing, having this generalization basically denies the individual psychology of the person which can have him be easily affected or not affected by the material....

 

If so, then by your thinking, we should ban porn, ads where women are in their underwear,etc...

Is it me or is this statement highly racist. and I honestly don't see the difference in what you call art and what I call art (and I watch very few anime/manga just respecting the work behind ) and an other thing how raping and killing a mature person is best than raping and killing a kid.
