Meanwhile my 250GB WD Blue is dying after less than 4 years of use (it has 4 spots around 2GB that are dead) and my 1TB Barracuda keeps on dealing with the abuse.

Odd AF. Though my 160GB was a WD Caviar drive so...Yeah. My 1TB Seagate barely made the 4 year mark before giving up. I guess its the draw of luck with HDD's?

I have some weird-ass luck (80GB Hitachi with barely any bad sectors from 2009 that I use on a daily basis, and a brand new 40GB IDE TravelStar I got for my old ProSignia 165), so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

On the bright side - I'll be moving into my first completely own flat next week-end (not counting the shared flat during grad-studies), so the money went towards:

-a new bed (6' x 6'6", because why the f*ck not :D

- a big-ass L-shaped couch

- assortment of matching sideboard, sideboard, cabinet etc.

Got the Philips 40" 4k monitor

But when using two cables into the monitor and using PBP i get the res: 7680x2160 and it's annoying because it's so small, I can't get 3840x1080 in Eyefinity.

So for now i'll just use the 4k option on one Displayport. And suffer 27fps in Skyrim, and 40fps in Doom. xD

Pretty much.  I have Seagate and WD.  All still running, some over 10 years old at that.  I think I have a Hitachi drive too around here.  (I buy what ever is cheaper at the time)

 

Anyway, this finally showed up.  Darn, one bad thing of living in country side.  Deliveries take forever.
