I wasn't expecting to get the Sailor Moon R set 2 replacement discs, but it seems that where I actually ordered that set from went through the process of getting the replacement discs and probably had them hanging around until I placed another order since they just don't send out replacement discs on their own.

 Nice, great choice. Used one for my grad studies and it served me very well. Put an SSD inside and it's a great device while ballin' runtime. Personally like the design and glass, despite the smudges. Fits my blue SGS 6 like a charm

even if they did, I'm like 3 years late to the party  

 

On a side note, it would seem as 2 of the CPU cooler's block mounting nuts have sheered off the motherboard...the laptop still runs without overheating but it's a lot lot lot louder

I wonder if it was because I accidentally left it in the bios, closed the lid and put it inside a bag which it became really hot...I mean it looks like the mounts were secured by solder so....heat and solder melting makes sense as I remember looking at the warranty sticker on one of the screws for the CPU cooler and I don't remember the mounts being sheered off the motherboard...

Yeah that's possible. Heat is a real killer for laptops, especially compact ones.

A summer of using my laptop in a 40 degree room resulted in battery expansion so bad that it separated the case a good 5mm.

if by "bag" you mean that slim thing it came with - no way. I did that multiple times by accident and i did not notice any malfunction. I guess it 'd rather shut itself down before any major damage occurred.

No, not sleep - shutdown. It should work something like this - though I stole this from the Intel Pentium 4 manual:

The mechanism isn't implemented on operating system level, but the CPU itself. Plus - the bios should not put much stress on the CPU (next to none), so it's hard to believe it got that hot ^^

Yeah, it didn't get hot enough to trigger thermal shut down

Got some faster ram at a LAN I was at! Now the owner of 8gb of 2400mhz! But having trouble getting it stable with tu current overclock... any tips? 

Iv only managed to get the full out of it by dropping clocks and upping voltage.

Got some aquatic plants today and started up my fish tank. Also replaced the standard (fluorescent lamps?) lights for 5 time controlled LED strips.

I'm curious how well the plants will do with LED lighting.

Bought the Black Ops 1/2 combo pack for my Xbox 360 (I know i'm a skrub, I just keep it for the nostalgia). Would have bought it on steam, but

1. Current build is trash

2. It's $60. A 5 year old game. C'mon Gaben, i'm not made of money...

Ain't nothin wrong with the 360. Honestly playing through blops wasn't that bad, other than the fact that I can't aim with a controller to save my ass.
