A wrist rest for my keyboard, and a wrist rest + mousepad combo, all for the sake of my wrists as I'd found the Ducky wrist rest is a tad hard and uncomfortable for these old bones of mine. These silicon type wrist rests are more comfortable, better for long gaming sessions...

Out at an airshow this weekend and grabbed an intake and exhaust valve from a R-2600 engine found on the B-25 Mitchell. They threw in the broken piston ring for free. Also not pictured is a T-shirt I got from the same museum.

Two sets of the Noctua NA-SEC3 60cm 4 Pin Fan extension Cables. So that is 6 extension Cables in total:

My good friend @LeSnakk from Germany has ordered the brand new Noctua NA-FH1 8 Channel Fan Hub for me because Amazon doesn't deliver that directly to Switzerland, at least not yet. So far I've bought every Noctua product I own through Amazon and they were able to always directly deliver it to me. Either way it's way cheaper for me to buy Noctua products via Amazon than here locally, sometimes I would pay double.

So I will then finally be able to finish my Desktop PC which I've originally built in fall of 2021 by installing my fifth NF-A12x15 PWM Fan in Chromax.Black along with the Fan Hub and extension cables. Technically I would be able to install a seventh Fan if I really wanted to and managed the Cables in the PSU basement better so that they wouldn't touch the spinning Fan. Because my amazing Fractal Case can house up to 6 120mm Case Fans.

This is what my PC looks like rn:

My Mainboard only has 5 Fan Headers and two of them are on the daughter board, that's why that looks funny. Temps have been fine with this setup more or less, am looking forward to be finally improving that.

Also of course I did that:

I'm wondering what @Schnoz would do with such a long (3.6m) Fan extension..

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

My replacement for my WASD Keyboard showed up:

With the box white switches installed, new key caps installed.

Kind of stinks I had to order the complete assembled keyboard, when they offer a barebones / kit style one, but it was sold out. Had to take what I could get, since full size keyboards are harder to get these days.

Got a new monitor, and the built in Wifi antennas let me get rid of much hated shark fin antenna that was so light weight it fell over all the time, and the cables were too short.  I now have several about 6" of slack, and a better signal.

Also it looks a lot better than my non-HDR, 1080p, 60hrz cheap pandemic buy monitor.

A very exciting purchase was made last night: A clearance filing cabinet from work. This little dude plus a Mountain Dew cost me a total of 37 dollars thanks to a 25% off clearance coupon, my 10% off associate discount, AND a 10 dollar off rewards coupon. I was able to replace four of the USPS boxes I've been using to store all of my hardware which is pretty cool. It's not as convenient, but it looks a hell of a lot nicer. If anything my only complaint is that it is literally just a couple millimeters away from being able to store motherboards vertically so they have to be stacked (that's in the spoiler since it's mildly NSFL).

My ultimate plan is that when I move out I'll end up buying something extremely similar to this cabinet so I can store motherboards vertically + whatever else and then just use this guy for other assorted shit (hard drives will probably be first on that list).

Just purchased an Apple refurbished M1 Max Studio, now waiting for it to arrive. Since they are just about to start shipping the M2-based Studios, they are basically fire-selling these in the refurbished store, almost $500 off the original price.

The 'base' configuration is still pretty decent:

  • 32GB ram @ 400GB/s memory bandwidth
  • 10 core processor, 8 power and 2 efficiency
  • 24 core video system
  • 512GB SSD
  • Four Thunderbolt 4 ports on the rear
  • 2 USB-C on front
  • 10Gb ethernet

This will be replacing a now quite old and no-longer supported 2012 mini, which although it was a good system at the time (4c/8t i7, 16gb ram), running with no security updates is not something I want to deal with.

Where did you order this? I always wanted a custom keyboard with a full keypad that didn't look crazy. This looks clean, lol.

During the time of the highest prices ever for used cars, my 20yo VW Golf died and I had to buy something. Decided to go with an older RAV4 and I am loving it so far. Not new, not fancy, but it is big enough for what I do and has a pretty powerful engine.

And it'll likely be fairly reliable.

That is a Keychron board. After having several WASD boards and my son has a couple Logitech boards, I can say this Keychron is definitely in another league. I'm impressed, with it.
