So, Jay made this video and I remember some people posting about their PCs running hotter and they wanted to know some tips for better cooling.

if your room temp is affecting your pc i feel like you should get an ac... xD

My house stays at 77*f during the summer so I just turn my fans up like 5% and that's about it

I actually have my PC over an air conditioning vent, with a 120mm intake fan on the bottom. Needless to say, my system runs VERY cool. Max cpu temps are around 35C (5GHz 1.475v)

dust will do more to increase temps than having filters.

My house has AC..

So does mine, but I and many others still live under their parents homes and that means their parent's rules. It doesn't help that my room is the hottest room in the whole building. Quite a double-edged sword I got.

That's his results, did he show benchmarks? no

 

I have cleaned a system that ran for two months without filters and the temps dropped 10c on the GPU and CPU. Running without filters is worse that more fan noise, it's also disgusting. You happen top forget what dust is made of?

I have my fans on 7V, not 5V for summer/hot weather.

Back on GTX 480, i maximized airflow by using a suitable chassis...

 

With an LN2 bios, it would not exceed 75c no matter what i did to it, this was on air too.

Well then that is one dusty room. I have an air filter so dust wouldn't be a problem for me. :)

It's about 33-35C during the afternoon for me. I have ac but it doesn't mean it's on all the time.
