Yeah....Einstein can be a problem child at times.  There be some months with no issues getting WUs then....it just be like, nope, no WUs for you.

Numberfields we've slipped to 3rd from 2nd.  A reminder that Numberfields with half decent CPUs is actually quite good.  I find them to go surprisingly quick on really old (2008/2009) Xeons for whatever reason (they're 5-6x faster at NumberFields per core task than my 4980HQ at roughly same clock speeds).  I've got some minor bunkering going on with an offline system processing that will probably show up tomorrow, though I'm not a huge producer, along with a couple that completed while starting Einstein bunkering on my only GPU system.

@leadeater anything you can do?

The 5950X is doing around 2 hours per WU for Numberfield, but obviously, that is running 32 WUs concurrently and at stock settings... not bad

I had to step away from active management for the Pentathlon during the week. Glad we got second on PrimeGrid!!

What is best for the team for me to work on now? Continue with Yoyo and switch the GPU to NumberFields? Or put all power into NumberFields?

I tend to run 1 task on nvidia and 2 on amd. I haven't tried on a 360ti specifically, but 3090 does slightly better with 1 same with 4090.

Thanks, I'll set my gaming PC to 1 task per GPU then unless there is a way to have just the AMD GPU in it do 2 and the Nvidia's do 1?

And wow yea thanks, my A40 is doing much better with 1 task and memory controller load is 100% now and TGP/TDP hitting maximum where it wasn't before. I must have only had AMD GPUs last time I ran this project.

I have the same problem. Then I found 'Do you consent to exporting your data to BOINC statistics aggregation Web sites?' in the settings. Still has not shown up in my boincstats yet, maybe takes a while.Screenshot_20230513_152608.png.7e13af65c8a2c57d517d9ff807478af2.png

You could run 2 seperate instances and assign a different preference profile to each. I don't know if you loose that much running 1 on the 6800, still better than not running it.

Hmm not sure I can be bothered figuring out how to tie the GPUs to each instance only, global 1 per GPU it will be for me. Also I've uploaded many tasks and it's not letting me queue any other than 1 active running, got around it by limiting upload. Pitty that was quite a few hours I could have saved up tasks but was letting report.

Don't forget to let yoyo be bunkering anything that doesn't need to be dropped before end of event.  Report anything now for the 25% bonus that needs to be in ahead of time, and then save everything else for when it'll be 100% bonus next.  We're doing great there, but we don't want a huge surprise upset on 100% bonus day.

I'm still pretty new at BOINC, but I've got three machines running Yoyo right now to see if they're working right. I had my 12 core Xeon machine running it last night, but that machine decided to lock up earlier, and now I can't get it to boot. One thing I'm a bit confused about is my stats page linked from my BOINC badge. How often should this update with new points? It's not showing anything from the past 24 hours or so, but my account page for Yoyo is showing some points.

If you can't tell I'm far more comfortable with F@h lol. I've been folding for years on lots of different hardware, but I hardly know anything about BOINC.

Man, yoyo must know it's a bonus day, I haven't been able to get any WU shorter than 2 days since yesterday on any machine except my laptop.  Some are clocking in as 7 day tasks.  I also found out that if you have individual WU suspended, but not the project, Boinc refuses to download any new work.  Anyone know if there is a configuration that will tell projects not to send tasks that require longer than 1 day to complete?

EDIT: And as soon as I complain about it, I start getting shorter tasks again....

I was planning to release my old xeon after the day switch, but with it this close, I think I'll let it chug a little longer first and release around this time tomorrow instead, giving them less time to react by calling in more folks.  Being only 1 older system though, that's not huge numbers, definitely well under 100k.  I'll note that while we look very solid in YoYo right now, with 100% bonus coming...several of our competitors are basically flat, and are very spikey with bonus time turn ins, so while I don't think we need to focus on it completely with our lead, we can't drop it either, and do want some good bunkers to drop at the 100% bonus time.

All my Yoyo is paused but I've got a lot of tasks with very long run times that will complete for a lot of points when I resume them, I'm fully Numbers right now but I think I'll have plenty to report come 100% bonus day.

Also I could stop all my reporting of Numbers to hide my output rate, maybe that would be better than being open about it....?
