100+$ for 3 fans,wth???

frozensun

So on amazon Thermaltake Riing trio pack with 3 fans costs above 100$.

Come on TT do you make them from titanium.

It's not Noctua for christ sake.

Hell I can buy 4 weels for my car for that money.

These are just a toys.

And my daily income.as a chemical engineer is below a price of a one damn fan.

This really drives me crazy, hell it's a stupid damn fan for PC with some rgb leds ans that is it.

I wonder how much money do they really worth.

For such dunb things , hell, 10$ is max for a piece.

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

TT can charge whatever they want for a product.

It up to the consumer to decide if they want to spend the $$$ on it.  Clearly you don't think that the fan is worth it to you, so don't.

As mentioned, there are plenty of other RGB fans on the market, so it's your choice.

But in reality?  Plenty of good RGB fans are 30$+ each.

Are you sure they're sold by ThermalTake and not a 3rd party seller? Amazon is just basically a store front for any Tom or Jane to sell things. Doesn't have to be directly from the Company the product is from.

The new line of RIING fans are apparently really pricey.  (140-150$ for a 3 pack + controller)

Of course, there are 4 independent lightup rings on each fan, not just one.  So, they really REALLY stepped up the tech on these new fans!

RGB increases performance by 10%+. You must have got some defective LEDs or something.

The more I learn, the more I realise I don't actually know anything.

Recommendations: Lian Li 205m (sleek, pretty decent airflow for a non-mesh front panel and cheap), i5-10400f (Ryzen 5 3600 performance, 20% cheaper), Arctic P14 PWM fans, Logitech g305.

Corsair already does this and I don't hear anybody complaining.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Thinly veiled post to complain about your income once again. You don’t buy wheels or fans everyday of your life, so why compare it to your daily income. PCs are not daily necessities and so having a low income or being a chemical engineer has little relevance to whether a pack of 3 fans cost over what you make in a day.

Implying that mere toys can't be extremely expensive. I looked up those fans in shops in my country and they seem to cost around that much as well, so it's not just an inflated Amazon reseller price.

Well this has more to do with you living in a country with a far lower purchasing power than many western countries. If we assume that one single fan of those costs around $40 and your daily income is lower than that, you're well below the US's federal minimum wage of $7.25, so realistically, anything you attempt to buy at regular western prices would seem woefully overpriced to you. Even if you'd get them for the $10 you'd be willing to pay for them, is spending a full day's worth of income worth it for a bunch of fans to you? Because honestly, as someone who has the privilege to have a cushy job in the public sector in one of the richest countries on the planet, I wouldn't do that if those fans cost me a day's worth of whatever constitutes as work for a municipal government employee.

Let me tell you something,we here have only 3 It stores, sadly we don't have MicroCenter.

I purchased 6 of fans which maybe don't have 2-3 RGB rings, but for damn 6 $ per fan they look trust me beautiful and they don't need separate controller which is a plus, they have one built in.

So hell I can purchase 4 of these for a price of one damn TT fan,and ofc quantity is better then quality.

Perhaps performance of TT fans is better, but who the hell cares about performance if you buy fans aesthetically like me,because I have OCD with RGB.

I think I have a video of these fans, hold on.

Besides all of them are made in China, just TT is TT and like Corsair can make hell high price as much as it can.

and TT for me personally is not that big of a company, their products are average.

I remember scandal with their AIO coolers.

So these are the fans I purchased 6 $ per piece,I got 6 of them.

Well as a citizen of Switz you can't imagine that my horly income is 3 euros, but it's damn eastern Europe, ofc I wouldn't care about pricing of those fans,no matter how much I like them, and trust me I'm a huge fan of an RGB,but when most of citizens of your country have like monthly income around probably 3000 euros,I'd care about spending damn 100 $ on 3 dumb fans.

Its Thermaltake..

Nothing that they put their name on is worth 100 bucks. Putting their name on something is just like driving a brand new car off the lot. Instantly loses value lol.

A hundred bucks for a 3 pack of 40cfm fans is crazy talk.

Sir go price out a corsair build, that will blow your mind. $169 CAD for 3 pack of LL120, I need 4 of those for my next build. Bestbuy had them onsale for $111 and I was excited about that, ONLY having to spend $444 on fans instead of $560
