I have a decent video idea. How about AI upscaling videos?

 

Some key tasks to accomplish would be: 

• Upscaling framerate of raw footage (frame interpolation via something like DAIN-APP) 
• Upscaling resolution of raw footage (720p to 2k video with Something like Topaz)
• Find out how different hardware effects the end result/time taken to perform this

Using nvidias new lineup of 3000 series quattros in nvlink using the gddr6x (not sure if they are released yet?), is it possible to have the vram from those cards used as a ram disk? If you can get 2 rigs up and running with these ram disks, imagine how far you could push the networking side! Good excuse to get nvidia to send you a few top tier workstation cards and another excuse to get a 200gbps network connection happening??? Hahaha. Looking forward to the new content (and hoping its something stupid like this)

I've really gotten into LTT videos quite a bit and love everything you do! That being said though I was surprised you guys hadn't thought of this idea sooner or if you have I haven't been able to find any videos of it. Basically the idea is to have a couple set tests that viewers put their personal rig through, such as furmark, cinebench and valley benchmark or similar. Then send specific screenshots of these results along with images of the setup and their hardware list and you guys could review them and talk about different options to upgrade or better optimize their hardware. It would be a really great learning opportunity for a lot of people and also a great way to bring more attention to your forum with new users submitting their builds for review! Hey guys. Like many years ago before I subscribed to your channel I used to get only tips from tomshardware and they did a piece a long time on a solar gaming pc many years ago. I’d like to see your take on the attempt with current 2020 or newer pc build that is as most efficient as possible using solar that is only available in box stores so no ordering from china pieces or putting it together from scratch. A build that anyone can do pretty much want to see 4+hrs of gaming on solar only not grid tied with only up to two 1200-1400 VA battery backups at your disposal. So this has to be a really cut down build with playable frame rates and experience not over the top and underclocked so shaved off all the cpu clocks that are not needed for popular titles not too demanding but still playable. What you think? Also solar panels to be able to deliver enough power to charge batteries not at full sunlight but even at snowed in days where most likely a power outage may occur. So no mounting solar panels on the roof. But can go in the windows facing the sun (the sun is not above your head during winter anyway) -thanks for suggestion on posting this here

I don't think that's possible with his requirements. Unless there's some odd motherboard I don't know of.

He has one of those use cases where the MAC is his best option.

There are some high end server options out there on both Epyc and Xeon with more than 7 PCIe slots, but afaik nothing with a footprint similar to a mac pro.

doesn't Mac OS require certain hardware to run?

Yeah. They also don't have 2 double slot cards, and then there's the whole Hackintosh issue. Which I think also negates Epyc, no?

It just wreaks of requiring a custom motherboard. Plus one of the only CPUs that would work is the Intel Xeon W-3275 of which you'd need 2.

However, the real thing we have to realize is he's using it for work. A Hackintosh in principle is a bad idea.

Also zen gets thrown out because pro audio and AMD hackintosh doesn't mix. Would be an interesting video but I doubt it would be possible. I have done a lot of hackintosh stuff and while it can be good and useable for a daily there is always something strange and not right and reliability is never perfect.

Yea I wouldn't think any Hackintosh would be stable enough for a machine that you rely on to earn a living. It's more of a fun project for those who really want to use macOS on the side or just as a daily normal use PC. I've used one for school but... just one update later from Mojave to Catalina and it was just lagging all over the place.

System76 dropped an all new Bonobo WS Laptop 4 weeks ago. So, basically a portable workstation, with desktop CPU (upto 10900K) and desktop GPU (upto RTX 2080 Super (maybe you should wait for the one with 3080)). Yes. Full desktop components on a laptop (I don't know about the RAM). Definitely an absolute monster of a machine that you can take with you. I'd love to watch Anthony taking a look at this beast.

 test a probook 445G7/455G7 running a ryzen chip and compare it to the intel one. while HP still in 2020 gives you a 2.5in drive bay over more battery capacity the last gen one has been a great machine.

How to connect your home network to a family member's home network using free or cheap VPN options would be a useful video. Splitting the VPN tunnel to where the local internet is used instead of the remote network's internet would be a requirement so that the connected networks use their local resources and connections first before looking at the remote network.

Refrigerated Cooling on PC. This has been done before, you guys could review this crazy case or you could DIY a custom cooler.

They sell Micro-compressors for mini fridges and other small cooling devices. Slap a heat sink on it and get that CPU down to 0°F.

Hey guys . Like watching the more of the odd stuff you guys do like crazy water cooling and fun experiments . The video worst SLI video caught my attention  .. how about worst crossfire .. idk if it’s the worst but I have used A8-3870k apu in the fm1 socket . And that was actually able to crossfire with dedicated gpu from same generation .. it was god awful but fun . Had mine in crossfire with Radeon 6670 

boy did it ever suck .. seemed like good idea at the time crossfire with igpu and discrete card what could go wrong

Similarly to the all Monoprice or Amazon Basics gaming setup video about a year ago, a next step in following suit would be Xiaomi in my opinion just because of the pure range of random electronics they sell. A lot of the stuff ranging from lighbulbs to monitors to little humidifiers.

 

I think the idea would be very easily doable just because of all the branches the company has like mija, selling lifestyle items, and then monitors and keyboards in their mainstream, and almost everything your looking for can be found on aliexpress
