So if the 6900 XT is a cherry-picked 6800 XT, and the 6800 is a failed/cut-down 6800 XT, that might explain why they didn't exist.

That's exactly what they're made from.

The 6700XT uses a completely different die. The 6700 XT is Navi 22 with a die size of 335mm2. 6800/6800 XT/6900 XT is Navi 21 with a die size of 520mm2.

Why is it not weird when Nvidia does a launch, but when AMD does it, it´s confusing? What? He even praised the 3060, not a single word on why you would release another card at that point where you can´t get any GPU´s. Then goes on trying to make AMD look bad for their strategy on how they gonna sell those cards. And then he wonders if people call him a shill. Really weird how his opinion on releasing a card changes within a few days. .

 

Anyways, i am sooo happy that i still have a FHD 60HZ Monitor. I nearly bought a 1440p Monitor on sale 2 years ago, but wasn´t sure enough that my 1070 can handle this.Just hope it will work until lower tier cards like a 3050 or 6600(XT) release wich hopefully will be not interesting for miners and good enough for FHD. Don´t care about raytracing or DLSS:

DLSS is still bad though. I got my RTX 3080 since late December and since then i tested it out on a couple games (that support 2.0) and it just isn't a better experience. I constantly note the weird artifacts moving around and even when standing still certain patterns can confuse it and you start see stuff moving on things that should be static. I definitely rather have it turned off and enjoy an experience that is consistent in quality with a bit lower frames over constant eyesores.

Some of the reason everyone loves it may be that 1.0 was sooooo bad, so it might be the vast improvement.  But esp at higher rez, and on demanding games (control, cyberpunk; 4k) it really makes all the difference in the world.  Native 4k just isnt possible at a great framerate.  Add dLSS and the hit (esp at this high rez) is not bad at all, and the fps gain is enormous.  You go from quicksand to super smooth, and only a few minor things get blurred.

 

DLSS at 1080p is worthless it is very noticable to the eye, and at 1440p its pretty OK.  The higher rez the better it looks.  4k is sweet spot IMO.

 

But I will agree it is noticable, in some games more than others.

I'm already hyped, but I still find it jarring at best. Not sure when this card will be available in Malaysia, and whether if it stays under RM2000 (chances are it won't).

I can't speak for 4k or 1080p as i was testing it my 1440p monitor and there its bad in my opinion. I couldn't even say that the higher framerate was better, because every turn of the camera looked just wrong and off to me.
