I'm sure whomever is selling that totally doesn't have a disgusting house.

I have found that cleanliness of computer internals is directly correlated to how clean people keep their living situations.

That's a pass. Not only for how filthy it is, but I imagine it's probably been overheated a time or two.

I don’t wanna to near that thing.  There’s no telling what is living in it

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

You would be surprised, or maybe it was just me. When I first got into toying with desktops at the ripe age of 51, i would buy older cards, ram and CPU's just learning to upgrade older rigs. The parts were cheap and if i toasted something, no big loss.

I thought that trend of misusing the word ironic was dead and gone.  There was this whole thing about “ironic” t-shirts and stuff, but the problem Was that isn’t what the word means.  They weren’t ironic they were sarcastic.

rofl I have an old 550 TI living in my transcode/storage/print server box right now. It has a brand new Noctua 92mm case fan strapped to it, because the stock fans died many years ago, and this was better than anything else I could think of to get it back working (using SpeedFan to control the fan's speed based on GPU temp).

I disagree.

I have a clean room and a messy PC interior for two reasons:

1. My office gets dusty

2. My case is horrible for cable management

The whole thing was just filled with fluffy nest material, with a few hard dead mice in it

Speaking of awkward fans, my 2020 MacBook Air has a "cooling fan" that appears to draw and exhaust air from the same place, while also being completely isolated from the CPU heatsink. How in the name of f@ck is that supposed to cool the CPU? There's no heatpipe anywhere.

The MacBook Pro has a function heatpipe that actually lets the fan cool the CPU, this decision in the MacBook Air truly puzzles me. I'll try and get in touch with an Apple HW Engineer, I'll report back if I find out anything.

Atleast according to Wikipedia this is the definition of refurbished

Quote

Refurbishment is the distribution of products (generally electronics) that have been previously returned to a manufacturer or vendor for various reasons, not sold in the market or new launch of a product. Refurbished products are normally tested for functionality and defects before they are sold to the public. They are repaired by the original manufacturer and resold.

TELL ME WHEN AND WHERE THIS THING WOULD HAVE BEEN TESTED AND/OR REPAIRED?!?!
