Every PC part is out of stock?

I'm looking at rx5700's, ryzen 5's, everything is out of stock, prices are inflated, when is this situation gonna end and parts be in stock again?

We are in awkward middle ground between new hardware being 'released' and old hardware going out of stock. Inflated hardware on previous gen parts is because of 3rd party sellers. Unfortunately I would not recommend building at this moment, wait for new gen parts to come in stock, buying a RX 5700 is a hard pill to swallow. A R5 3600 is still a good buy though.

As for availability, in Canada we are going to be waiting until 2021 for stock that is still likely sold out regardless. So it could be end of Q2 before some parts are scarcely available. 

 

And this is all COVID related, every part of the process is impacted because of pandemic (from manufacturing to transportation). Not a surprise at all, best to be patient, there are more important things to worry about than PC parts. Unfortunately it will likely take 1+ years for this to normalize.

why does it matter?

 

just be glad you have food and roof over your head.

that your not one of those people in line laid off trying to get food to survive.

 

you think out of stock computer parts matter... get real just be thankful that your healthy and arnt hungry

Chill man. I get what you're going for, but he isn't being bratty about it. He's simply asking if anyone knows, or when people think, the shortages and the whole situation with scalpers is going to end. 

 

My best guess would be sometime Q2 2021. Most people should have what they want around then, and stock issues will be under control probably

but why? like seriously no one here knows the answer its supply and demand. why ask a question no one can answer. we can all guess when production will ramp up but many things can influence and it really shouldnt be anyones concern.

 

there's a pandemic going on and the worse thing i see in some of the forums and tech channels is the part supply for latest tech.  priorities man...

I'm not denying this plays a large role currently, but I think also it's far from the only factor at play. For example nvidia said right away more supply will be made in jan/feb. it's also quite apparent that they're using *Samsung* RAM currently and already planned to switch to a much bigger manufacturer for RAM "later" 

 

 

Kinda obvious why also (larger supplier is occupied with satisfying demand for consoles) 

So while this isn't a guarantee or anything but it's likely for production to ramp up early next year. 

 

It's also not like the situation is everywhere the same, Asian countries generally can deal with such a situation much better for example, and guess where electronics get produced? That's right! So again it isn't guaranteed but I'm confident the situation will ease up soon - tbh here in Germany aren't any shortages, not even electronics from what I see, it's really just *enthusiast computer parts*. 

 

Lower end stuff is still readily available, at normal prices - at least as of 1 month ago which was the last time I checked.

Honestly in Canada im gonna guess we are looking at May or June before you are gonna be able to find everything in stock and not jacked up

there are other things like there scraping ships, and china being under water and 50% less flights for shipping. for the new stuff scalpers. also if the gpu mining is up and running that would sell stuff out too but i see no talks about it...
