Building a $2500 pc for a friend....
BlazerBuddy replied to BlazerBuddy's topic in New Builds and Planning
For $2500? 6900xt is better then the 3080, the 3080 goes in a 1500-1800 build. My friend is doing this for gaming so a 5900x seems way overkill. -

3080 for a $2500 build? The cpu is almost as expensive as the gpu... -
Budget (including currency): $2500 Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Satisfactory, other future games.... Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Would this be a good $2500 build for a friend? Is this power supply enough for the build, can this motherboard support a 5800x? Link- https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=f5038d1b-23be-46fc-b3a0-d1f309e0c293

RTX 3070, Ryzen 5 5600x and MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
BlazerBuddy replied to Mdragoe's topic in New Builds and Planning
That mobo will support the Ryzen 5 3600 well, the ASUS Tuf b550M wifi is decently more expensive. -
Hyper 212 rgb black edition enough for 5800x at 100% load?
BlazerBuddy replied to BlazerBuddy's topic in Cooling
Okay! My friend plans on pairing it with a 3080. Will a Scythe Fuma 2 do the job? Rendering at 100% load for hours on end? -
Just like the question says, will it be enough?
